We thought we've seen it all when it comes to music competitions but I guess we haven't: THE MASKED SINGER is an entirely new concept ready to
start on Fox January 2nd bringing glamour, fun and suspense to very opening of the new year!

THE MASKED SINGER
is a singing competition guessing game based on the Korean format King of Mask Singer which broke all broadcasting records in Asia becoming an instant phenomenon. The performers are celebrities wearing elaborate head to toe costumes to conceal their identities from the host, panellists, audience, and other contestants. Twelve celebrities appear on the show with one singer
eliminated each week and unmasked. Small hints are given to help
viewer play and guess along. The "who-sung-it" is hosted by Nick Cannon
and features a 
star studded detective playing panel: world's most beloved
music competitions judge and pop super star Nicole Scherzinger
alongside Ken Jeong, 
Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke. The competitors
are all "household names" and have a combined 65 Grammy nominations, 16
multi Platinum
albums, 16 Emmy nominations, 9 Broadway shows, 4 Super
Bowl titles, and 4 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Who do you think

Frankly, I've stopped watching reality competitions of any kind.
ReplyDeleteHowever, South Korea, which seems to be behind this new concept of the Masked Singer, intrigues me. This asian country, already known as a boomy tech hub, is trying hard (and succeeding)to impress the world with its innovations in fashion, cosmetics, entertainment.
yes, even one of our own pop singers is trying to do songs and videos in their K-pop style so that they might notice him over there LOL I've noticed that I still prefer Chinese to Korean films, though.

DeleteI don't do reality shows, but I am intrigued by this one. Probably won't watch it either, but I like the concept. I feel like that masked singer in the promo could be Carrie Underwood, but I'm not good at these kinds of games so I'm probably way off.
