HILARIOUS FIRST TRAILER FOR FISHERMAN'S FRIENDS BRITISH COMEDY WITH JAMES PUREFOY, DANNY MAYS, TUPPENCE MIDDLETON, DAVID HAYMAN

    FISHERMAN'S FRIENDS TRAILER
SEES JAMES PUREFOY SINGING!
It's the UK's number one buoy band :)
The only thing I have for you today is the first trailer and poster for delightful British comedy FISHERMAN'S FRIENDS in which Danny Mays plays a fast living, cynical London music executive who heads to a remote Cornish village on a stag weekend where he’s pranked by his boss (Noel Clarke) into trying to sign a group of shanty singing fishermen (led by James Purefoy). He becomes the ultimate ‘fish out of water’ as he struggles to gain the respect or enthusiasm of the unlikely boy band and their families who value friendship and community over fame and fortune. As he’s drawn deeper into the traditional way of life
Some bands just cannot be managed!
he’s forced to re-evaluate his own integrity and ultimately question what success really means. Also starring Tuppence Middleton, David Hayman, Dave Johns, the movie is out next March!

  1. Looks like a heartwarming comedy with a show of Cornwall landscape. Nice poster and trailer!
(By the way,in England, fisherman's friends is also the name of some anti-cough/sore throat lozenges).

We have Fishermen's Friend cough lozenges in Canada too. They taste awful.

    2. Imagine if you will Dez, the taste is similar to the smell of Rays budgie smugglers found inside the body of a honey badger who has died of natural causes but hasn't been found for a week!

  3. I think this looks like a very enjoyable film. Adding it to my must see list now. I don't believe we have the lozenges here, but now I'm going to have to look next time I'm at the grocers.

    1. British films like this always leave you with a pleasant feeling of warmth and positivity, so unlike Hollywood.
They're packed in ugly little white bags, sometimes with green, red or yellow stripes depending on the flavour. They usually keep them at the register, methinks. We have that shit and Halls too, but our domestic ones Negro (we're not racist here :) from my local Pionir candy factory are the most popular. They have licorice in them. I've never send them to you as I don't know if you like that sort of weird stuff :) They're fully black! We have them with lime and lavander aroma and also with black currant honey flava! They've been in shops for more than a century now.

    2. I looked and didn't see them at our grocers, but if they are licorice flavor, I probably wouldn't like them much. If they are blueberry or blackberry, that would be a whole other story though.

    3. this is how they look like, deary, the black ones are the best. If you have vegeta it is not impossible that you have Negro too, but I'm not optimistic.

    4. We definitely don't have those here. There's no way in hell the liberals would allow anything called Negro on the store shelves, even if it does mean black in Spanish. Our vegeta is only located in the mega supermarkets that have a small European section, so I lucked out on getting that here.

    5. Back in the days when Negro was invented, exactly 100 years ago (Pionir is celebrating a century of work this year) I think the word did not have a massively bad association in English either. They call it the chimney sweeper of your throat!
