MATTHEW GOODE JOINS BEN FOSTER, MICHAEL CAINE, WILLIAM MOSELEY, TIL SCHWEIGER IN 'MEDIEVAL' 14TH CENTURY ADVENTURE! 'DISCOVERY OF WITCHES' SEASON 2 GOES BACK TO ELIZABETHAN LONDON

   MATTHEW GOODE JOINS
CZECH MEDIEVAL ADVENTURE
Matthew Goode will star in $20 million movie
This is certainly a cherry on top of the cake! Rumour has it that Matthew Goode has just joined Czech MEDIEVAL epic movie in a very royal role! He will join Ben Foster, Michael Caine, William Moseley, Til Schweiger, as King Sigismund of Hungary and Croatia, the brother of Czech King Wenceslaus!
MEDIEVAL will follow their 14th century national hero Jan Zizka of Trocnov (Ben Foster), a revered military tactician who defeated armies of the Teutonic Order and the Holy Roman Empire. He is known for his innovative strategies and for quickly training peasants to face skilled and armoured opponents who usually outnumbered his own troops. The film will also depict his relationship with king's lover Catherine (Sophie Lowe) whom he is sent to save but falls in love with her, and his fight against a rival king. William Moseley plays Jan's brother Jaroslav, Michael Caine is Lord Boresh the right hand of King Wenceslaus and Til Schweiger is Rosenberg, the richest lord in the kingdom.

   'A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES'
TO GO BACK TO ELIZABETHAN LONDON IN SEASON 2
Speaking of history and Goode, Sky is sending their currently most popular series A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES back in time after renewing it for season 2 and 3 even before the finale of the first one! Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer will go back to Elizabethan London in season 2 as vampire
A Discovery of Witches has been a success for Sky thanks to magnificent art production and Matthew Goode's radiant charisma.
Clairmont and witch Diana, where she will try to develop her powers with the help of a very powerful witch. The series, which is airing on HBO worldwide channels and Sundance in USA, has scored tons of viewers despite the criticism of Palmer's desperately poor acting skills.

  1. "cherry on top of the cake.." - means Goode is considered a good acquisition for the czech epic. Still, I would have preferred the czech to fund their own actors to play the nation's heroes.

    1. He is a very nice actor! I'm guessing some of the supporting cast will be Czech, they probably should have cast a Czech actor at least in the lead role of Zizka, especially since Ben Foster is a really bad actor who does not at all have the star power or looks for a major epic role. I remember that back in your young days Hollywood came to make film Sutjeska here about our WW2 Partizans and Richard Burton was cast as our leader Tito. Hollywood stars simply attract more attention to the project and bring producers with money :)

  2. I know the reasons (attention, money) , and yet, I believe a movie such as this or the one about Tito should have been based on local actors.

    1. yes, but they never would have gotten enough money for production with only local stars, sadly.

  3. I was just thinking that A Discovery of Witches seemed like it just started, so I was a bit shocked they renewed it for 2 more seasons already. That's nice that it did get a sizeable following to continue on.

    1. I think it was predominantly made for ladies, just like Outlander, I'm watching it too, it is visually very beautiful, amazing sets and all gloomy sepia colours. The cast is super strange and is mostly saved by Matthew Goode, while Palmer is almost scandalously bad, I don't recall ever seeing such a talentless lead in a show. She is literally struggling in each possible scene and even looks bad and off putting. It is still a nice Autumn watch, though

    2. Teresa Palmer has never appealed to me as an actress. I feel she's got a Kristen Stewart kind of acting ability about her. Bland and talent-less. I think that's what initially turned me off on this series.

    3. that would be the correct description. I don't recall her being this bad in some of the previous films of hers I watched, but she certainly is in this one, it is painful to watch her so desperate, especially since her character is not likeable at all, I wanna slap her half of the time :)
