This political thriller is very relevant to our turbulent times, when people often find themselves in conflicting situations.
She, the Home Secretary, looks indeed ambitious, and he, her Bodyguard, might indeed be a threat to her safety because of the politics she represents and which is opposed to his beliefs.
it is a question of does your professional duty stand above your morals and principles. We recently had an attorney killed in my country, and most people said we shouldn't really cry after him since he was known as the attorney who defended mobsters and biggest criminals on court. The others said it was his duty, just like doctors have to treat everybody.... but do we really agree with that?
Looks interesting! I sometimes don't think you should be in a job that goes against your beliefs or values. Like if you can't scan a package of pork or you deny a lady birth control because of your religious beliefs, maybe you should seek employment elsewhere. Same for political beliefs.
Yes, you do that, bit like you said, you give 100% to your work. When people can separate their beliefs from the job, it’s time to look elsewhere for a job they can perform 100% as well.
GIVE SOME LOVE TO YOUR DEZZY :) DON'T FORGET THAT BLOGGER'S NEW COMMENT BOX OFTEN REQUIRES FOR YOU TO DISABLE PROTECTION ON YOUR BROWSER IN ORDER TO COMMENT.

ReplyDeleteI do often have to translate books I'd never read in my life :) Even when that happens I always give my best even when the writer is the shittest :)
