Kamehameha is the legendary king who was the first to unite the
warring Hawaiian islands, which fulfilled the prophecy that surrounded
his fabled life since birth. He took control of Hawaii’s destiny, and
gave the islanders leverage in advancing the culture in trading with the
foreign ships from Europe that began showing up on the shores of
islands that must have seemed like paradise, albeit a sometimes
dangerous one as explorers like Simon Metcalfe and Captain James Cook
discovered before Kamehameha forcibly unified the islands.

Aloha - that's all I know Hawaiian. People will say that's more than enough as the word has a lot of deep cultural meanings.

Benedetta, the nun, was accused of having sex with another womam at the convent? Well,there were no men there... Anyway, the actress that got the part, Virginia Efira, will find it a challenging one.
Charlotte Rempling, the experienced actress, will do a good job in the movie.
She apparently became very famous for performing holy miracles and rose high in the church, but Vatican turned its back on her when they heard about her sexual scandals. Church and sexual scandals, how positively novel!
DeleteI can't think of anyone better for the role. Church and sex scandals are quite ridiculous these days. Here we have a teacher who has taught at a religious school for many years with no issues but the school found out she was married to a woman and are now firing her. Maybe instead of firing a great teacher because of who she loves outside of the classroom, the church should start cleaning its own porch first. And, religious people wonder why we think religion is such a joke anymore.

DeleteOoooo, hijinks at the convent! I've known several lesbian nuns over the years. One was still a pracising nun but the others had long since ditched the church.

DeleteI have to admit that I loved Dwayne Johnson in Jumamji but I am not sure about his non comedic roles...sigh!
