On Sun Wukong (Aaron Kwok)'s suggestion, Tang Sanzang pretends to marry the ruler and lies that his three students will go to fetch the scriptures in place of him. Later, he pretends to see his students off and escapes with Sun Wukong's help when the four of them are safely outside the city.

  2. I think Chinese sets and costumes are always so much more visually appealing than what Hollywood puts out. The posters are quite pretty too.

    1. They are masters of visual splendour and they also have a much better taste than US audience which is why the latest Star Wars has just flopped in China so terribly that is has been pulled from many cinemas in the first week :)))) Jumanji is, meanwhile, earning tens of millions there.

    2. Jumanji was fabulous! I hear a lot of complaints that since Disney took over Star Wars it just isn't the same. Apparently there were a lot of pop culture references in this new film that just didn't make sense to add in. It's another planet, so why would they reference our celebrities on theirs?

    3. I wouldn't know, Star Wars was always a ghastly bad garbage to me, with the most disgustingly bad castings I've ever seen, I mean some of today's worst, most bland actors have played in it from Natalie Unimportant to Oscar Isaacs, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendolin Christie, Diasy Ridley, Haiden Christensen, that Boyega guy, even Nyongo was godawful and she just had a voice role in it LOL Just a painfully dull people and stories

    5. I read yesterday somewhere that one of the reasons new Star Wars flopped massively in China (which is world's second biggest market and is not a joke) is that most actors in it are ugly LOL

  3. Looks like it has some great costuming and special effects.
