It's based on Michael Shearer novel An Unquiet Life
While we're waiting to see Dan Stevens as Dickens (in The Man Who Invented Christmas), Domhnall Gleeson as A.A. Milne (the creator of Winnie the Pooh in Goodbye Christopher Robin) and Nicholas Hoult as Tolkien, another famous writer is getting a film about him: Hugh Bonneville will play children writer Roald Dahl in John Hay’s untitled movie on Roald Dahl and his wife Patricia Neal. His wife, who was an Oscar winning actress, will be played by lovely Rebecca Ferguson!
It will be a bitter sweet, comedic and heart warming story of Neal and Dahl’s marriage. The story is set in New York, England and Los Angeles at the beginning of the 60s describing Dahl’s struggles to write some of his most famous works while Neal worked on her Oscar winning role in 1963. classic western movie Hud with Paul Newman!

    1. I did not even know who Patricia was before writing this post :) First time I hear about her.
      There was also a Vita and Virginia BBC 2 mini series a few years ago, or was it a documentary? I don't know, I came upon photos from it while researching for this article.
