ReplyDeleteAnything written by Stephen Fry is hilarious. I love Roger Allam who plays the lead as the washed-up poet. I've only ever seen him as DI Thursday in the "Endeavour" series so it will be great to see him in this very different role!
"Alone in Berlin" looks SO amazing. Anything about WW2 breaks my heart. The timing of this film, with its central theme of resistance to power, is very fortuitous right now. I bet it will do well for that reason alone.
I love any gay love story, of course, and "Fair Haven" looks great! "Gay conversion therapy" is nothing but abuse, pure and simple.
we do love Frysie, one of the reasons I still watch his new sitcom THE GREAT INDOORS even though it's really bad.

DeleteThe Hippopotamus looks quite intriguing and comedic. Alone in Berlin seems deep and sad. Is it bad that I wanted those two boys to catch and shake that blonde in Fair Haven trailer? A different meaning for shake it like a salt shaker. :p
