ARMIE HAMMER GOES GAY IN 'CALL ME BY YOUR NAME' ADAPTATION! ALEX ROE, ELINE POWELL TO LEAD 'THE DEEP' MERMAID TV SERIES! HAUNTING 'AUTUMN LIGHTS' TRAILER WITH GUY KENT

ARMIE HAMMER GOES GAY
IN 'CALL ME BY YOUR NAME'
Now here's something very much intriguing: Snow White's prince and Man from the U.N.C.L.E. Armie Hammer will go gay in CALL ME BY YOUR NAME a English language Italian movie adaptation of Andre Aciman's novel.
CALL ME BY YOUR NAME is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy (Timothee Chalamet) and a summer guest (Armie Hammer) at his parents' cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. During the restless summer weeks, unrelenting but buried currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them and verge toward the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy.

'THE DEEP' MERMAID SERIES
ALEX ROE AND ELINE POWELL TO DIP INTO THE DEEP
Meanwhile, FreeForm is rounding up its cast for their new mermaid fantasy series THE DEEP! The story will be set in Bristol Cove, a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn, as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. Eline Powell will play the girl, Ryn, while Alex Roe will take the male lead as a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to her. Fola Evans Akingbola will play a marine biologist who works with Ben and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun plays Xander, a          deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth and Rena Owen is Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on.

  1. Well, I'm all for actors doing gay roles but the adolescent age of the young one is problematic.

  2. He is going gay? Well, whaddayaknow. I take it you don't mean gay in the hey-it's-spring-and-I'm-in-a-good-mood gay?

  3. I'm not a fan of love stories with a big age gap when the younger partner is a youth. I do like that actors seem to be more and more comfortable playing characters from all walks of life :)

  4. I'm going with the others and saying I am not a big fan of a teen/adult romance. Probably the mom protectiveness coming out in me. Though, I am sure Armie will be splendid in the role, I just can't support something that might feel like it is bordering on pedophilia.

    1. as far as I know pedophilia goes for below 10 years, meaning children, someone above 15, 16, 17 isn't really a kid anymore and is already experiencing sexual needs... sometimes, especially in gay world, it isn't that bad, if at all, being with an older man and being introduced to sexuality with him in a secure and mature way and thus gaining much needed self confidence and self esteem.

    2. I guess for me, 15, 16, 17 even 18 and 19 aren't mentally prepared for raising babies. therefore have no business acting on those sexual desires. Now, I haven't lived in the gay world myself, and as far as I know my children are straight, so that outlook could be a little different if I were. I just think overall, the human brain isn't fully developed in the teen years and too much emotional baggage could occur hopping into a serious relationship with an older adult. Hell, too much emotional baggage came with my sexual activity at 17 and that was with someone my own age lol.

Dahlink, I totally forgot to respond to your last Facebook message. I deleted the app off of my phone (spending way too much time on Facebook when it was that easy to access) and now they want me to download that stupid messenger app to get my messages from my iPad. I'll do that this week so I can send you an update on health issues. No worries though. It's all good in da hood :)

    3. who said anything about raising babies? We're talking boys and gays here :) All boys think about when they get into puberty is sex sex and sex. With a right and mature partner the road through sexual awakening and maturing can be much easier and can give the boy self esteem that one needs later on both in sexual and emotional life. Now, I'm not saying that we should go Spartan (back in old Sparta, each teen boy had an older protector who was both his fighting and sexual teacher) but I'm just saying, that I know I would have become a much more secure and stronger person if I had an older lover when I was teen to treat me right and give me healthy sex confidence :)

Oh, I already afraid you ain't responding because there were bad news :((( Good thing hearing that is not the case!

    4. I'm just thinking the whole teen sex thing leading to babies (gotta remember I was a teen mom myself) so my mind immediately goes to babies in general when talking about sex and the younger set. Maybe it would have been better for you to have a more experienced lover back then. For me, I wish I would have waited a few more years to dive into those waters. Maybe, too, it is different for boys than girls jumping an older, or even younger partner. We are so damn emotional most of the time, it's best for the girls to wait. As a mom though, I just know that I would not approve of my child, boy, girl, gay or straight, dating an older person while in they're teens. I'd want them to focus on their studies and let them know there is plenty of time for romance later on.

    5. Oh, an no, no bad news on the health other than dealing with the insurance company. I'm fighting to get them to pay for my treatments, but stupid men in suits at the insurance office think they know better than my doctor what meds I need. (ie, they just want to pay for a cheaper treatment instead of approving what the doctor is recommending) It's ridiculous! I should have it cleared up by the end of the week though, fingers crossed!

    6. fingers crossed, I know they usually want the worst treatment for you so that they would pay less :(

  5. Well that's going to be quite a summer romance. More sexual awakening and less creepy Fifty Shades of Grey: Christian's Childhood. Thank goodness! Okay, Elise looks like she seriously needs a burger or five. Apparently mermaids have a real body fat issue here on Freeform. That trailer is right, not everyone can take the quiet. Then it gets all noisy and since the speakers won't co-operate I can't watch the darn thing after 4 a.m. in the morning. There are people still sleeping in the house man! I'm a freelancer so my hours are all over the place. Others...not so much. Be quiet computer.

    1. Hope Elise won't read your comment, since she did see this post and she tweeted about it.
I've always wondered how come you leave comments in the dead of the night :)

  6. I always wanted to be a mermaid- so I am curious about that one. Autumn Nights sounds like it will have some interesting twists.
