STUNNING 'WESTWORLD' SERIES TRAILER WITH ANTHONY HOPKINS, JAMES MARSDEN, EVAN RACHEL WOOD, THANDIE NEWTON, JAMES MARSDEN! NEW 'COLOSSEUM' EPIC TV SERIES ON ROME'S GLADIATORS! BBC ADAPTS CHRISTIE'S 'WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION'

'COLOSSEUM' EPIC SERIES
FROM 'SPARTACUS' PRODUCER
If you miss the gladiators from Spartacus series, don't despair, its writer David Franzoni (Gladiator) is preparing another similar series COLOSSEUM set in the world of the Roman Empire’s gladiatorial games! Franzoni will executive produce the series with Dirk Hoogstra (Vikings) next year at New Zealand. As 'Deadline' reports, using the gladiator arena and its deadly games as the backdrop, COLOSSEUM will be a multi layered drama that deals with the lives of the gladiators and the powerful men and women who attempt to use them as political pawns. It will introduce us with the workers, interns, slaves, creatures and geniuses – the shadow community that truly ruled Rome!

NEW AGATHA CHRISTIE SERIES

BBC has, meanwhile, ordered a two hours mini series on Agatha Christie's THE WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION about a 1920's brutal murder of a rich heiress.

  3. Did you say gladiators? Yes you did and I say nom, nom, nom.

Westworld looks intriguing. Lots of philosophical questions to play with and knowing Abrams a real mind bender.

    3. Well, I finally watched Westworld and, yes, it's fairly scary but there's ZERO fun. I got the same feeling watching those new Superman movies.

    4. Ima gonna watch the first episode tonight, I expect I might not like it either, I think HBO is for primitive viewers in USA with its glorification of violence and hidden support to fascism and torture porn

  6. I tried to get into Sparticus but it was too much blood and sex without enough juice to back it up. Gladiator will hopefully have a little more drama to suck me in.

    1. what is wrong with too much sex? :) I thought it had the most amazing writing, very intelligent twists and turns and brilliant actors, it became a source of so many young stars later on
