AMAZONIANS ON HORSES IN 'WONDER WOMAN' NEW SET PHOTOS! 'TALE OF TALES' EPIC FANTASY HORROR TRAILER WITH SALMA HAYEK, VINCENT CASSEL, JOHN C. REILLY

 'TALE OF TALES' TRAILER
SALMA HAYEK & VINCENT CASSEL
I wrote about this one a couple of times in previous two years, but now it is finally and officially heading to US cinemas and we have first official US trailer too for TALE OF TALES, deeply unusual epic fantasy drama with a mix of horror and romance as well! Out in UK this July and USA at the end of April, the film serves as Matteo Garrone's English language debut and  interweaves three separate story strands bookended by brief bits in which Italians Alba Rohrwacher and Massimo Ceccherini play a street circus family. In one tale Salma Hayek  plays a jealous queen of Longtrellis who forfeits her husband's (John C. Reilly) life. In another, Vincent Cassel plays king of Strongcliff whose passion is stoked by two mysterious sisters. Toby Jones appears as king of Highhills.

 'WONDER WOMAN' AMAZONIANS
GO TO BATTLE ON HORSES
Since I know you're excited about next year's stand alone WONDER WOMAN movie, especially after Gal Gadot's successful debut in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN here are some set photos published today at 'Daily Mail' arriving from Italy where the scenes of WONDER WOMAN in her mythical homeland of Themyscira are being shot.
THREE SETTINGS
The photos show her Amazonians ridding through the beach on their horses, and also some scenes of Diana of Themyscira saving Chris Pine's WW1 soldier Steve Trevor from the sea. As you know Connie Nielsen will be Amazonian Queen Hippolyta, a revolutionary leader, who struggles to shelter her only daughter from the outside world. Robin Wright is Antiope, who trains Wonder Woman to fight preparing her to deal with that world. Lisa Loven Kongsli is Antiope's lieutenant, Menalippe! The movie will have three settings with the second part of the movie set in War World One London, and the third part in modern days.

  3. Tales of Tales has inspired a new book idea. Yay and God help me. More Wonder Woman stuff is pleasing. Gal Gadot is the clear winner here. Count your money girl and keep your agent working hard!

    1. Glad to hear it is an inspiration, just don't write something weird as that :)
It will be interesting to see what will Gal do next and if she will go lead role like most other superhero actors don't.

  4. I don't really care about Wonder Woman as I never got interested in superhero comic books. Really I don't know who is who in them, but I'm almost afraid to admit it lest I get stoned to death.

Tale of Tales on the other hand looks good to me. Lots of cinematic shots, costumes and moody scenes to please the eye.

I has had the week from Hell dahlink. Everything went fine at my mother in laws. But I came home with a nasty sinus infection, then we had a storm with 60mph sheer winds, lost the power and finally it began to snow. Of course none of this was forecast by the weather people, so it came as quite a shock to us all. In retrospect it's kind of funny though :0)

    1. Wait, what? It began to snow??? Freaking hell, it's 30*C here! How are your flowers coping? Our peaches are blooming and I hate to think what a snow would do to them.

I don't do superheroes either, but WW has that epic factor which could draw me to watch it and there is nobody in the cast that irritates me :)

    2. We have had similar weather here and everything is blooming ahead of schedule. Anything vulnerable was destroyed last night.

Failing to forecast this caused a lot of problems as the roads were busy with people out shopping. Lots of trucks and cars blown off the roads, power lines down, trees down, roofs torn off. The first I knew of it was when I opened my back door and saw my lawn furniture go flying across the yard. Had I known it was coming I'd have put that furniture in the garage. Thankfully no one was hurt as I have the fence and it stopped the chairs and tables. We do need to have some minor repairs done to our porch roof. Our contractor is coming tomorrow to give us an estimate.

I lost every plant that was vulnerable as with those winds there was no way to keep things covered. It's still early and I harvest thousands of seeds each fall so I can plant more. It's still upsetting though.

    3. Well, shatty shat! Hope the ruin is not big in your garden :( There are some fruit trees that actually like a bit of freeze in order to bloom better, like plums for example.

Wait, what, the furniture was flying across the yard??? Oh, my, that was really something big! Hope cats weren't flying as well :(

It is so hot here that tulips have literally opened in just one day!

  5. Good morning, Dez.
I definitely want to see WW.
I guess I'll decide my thoughts on Tales after I see it:)

    1. I wouldn't count on it, it is just Marvel's evil fans spreading hate as they always do. And plus WW is not being done by Snyder

  8. We do love us some Wonder Woman. I am going to disagree with Adam. Wonder Woman has her own fan base. Even if the other movie sucked, I am sure people will still turn up to the theater go get an eyeful of those sexy Amazonian women!
