'THE DANISH GIRL' TRAILER
EDDIE REDMAYNE SHARES A KISS WITH BEN WHISHAW
Three trailers for you today, the first being the one for Tom Hooper's drama THE DANISH GIRL in which Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (could easily get it next year too) plays artist Lili, previously known as Einar Wegener, who became one of the world's first known recipients of gender transformation surgery in 1930. The movie, which will arrive into US cinemas at the end of November and around Europe in January, also stars Alicia Vikander who portrays the artist's wife Gerda Wegener, with Amber Heard, Matthias Schoenaerts and Ben Whishaw also in the cast!

'RISEN' EPIC TRAILER
JOSEPH FIENNES & TOM FELTON
The second trailer for today is also the second one for historical thriller set in the Roman age RISEN  which is out next January,  Biblical story of the Resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius  (Joseph Fiennes), a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide Lucius (Tom Felton), are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumours of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem. Kevin Reynolds (WATER WORLD, TRISTAN AND ISOLDE, ROBIN HOOD) directs.

'THE 5TH WAVE' SF TRAILER
ALIENS ARE ATTACKING!
With the premiere scheduled for January, the first trailer has finally been released for the big screen adaptation of Rick Yancey's YA novel THE 5TH WAVE starring Chloe Moretz Four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks have left most of Earth decimated. The 1st wave was a permanent blackout of power, setting earth back into the Stone Age. The 2nd wave a massive tsunami, killing off all coastal cities. The 3rd wave a plague caused by birds, leaving only the unlucky alive. The 4th wave humans with activated alien brains. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, 16-year-old Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie meets a young man who may become her final hope. Nick Robinson and Ron Livingston also star.

    1. I didn't expect it to be so visually pretty!

  2. Eddie will be able to play that role nicely as he's such delicate features and a slight build. I had no idea they had that sort of surgery back then and can't imagine how hard the recovery would have been with methods more primitive than today. I like the look of the movie, the way the scenes are lit is very evocative and the clothing from the period is nice to see.

I replied to your email dahlink. Thank you!

    1. I too wonder what were the details of the operation at those years... did they just cut of his willie or what? But then again even Ancient Egyptians performed brain surgeries...

      Thanks, dear, will answer ASAP

    2. I can't imagine that they had breast implants or hormone therapy then either. I'm interested to see how it was done. Also I like Eddie and I think it will be a good film.

    3. and yet that very short glimpse they give us in the trailer into the surgery room is creepy as hell.... there's that show KNICK with Clive Owen about some 19th century hospital and I just can't even begin to watch it... it seems to scary for me... all those old instruments and methods they've used in surgery... too scary

  4. He certainly seems to be trying for that Oscar. It's funny to see when famous actors will agree to act in movies that don't mean a large salary in hopes that it will get them the Oscar win.

    1. he was kinda always like that... acting in serious movies and giving outstanding performances instead of chasing blockbusters. Those are called ACTORS, the others that go for large salaries are called STARS :) That is usually the difference between American stars and British and Australian and Irish and foreign actors

  7. Mariah has a little crush on Tom Felton. I don't know why. He kind of looks like an arrogant little prick. I'm sure she'll love his new movie though.

    2. They really were all very unattractive. I laugh and laugh when they put out those lists of how "beautiful" the cast from Harry Potter grew up to be. Um no. They weren't cute then and certainly aren't cute now.

    3. it ain't right to say it but they're all butt ugly... Emma especially.... and she's playing beauty... what a joke... Daniel has a nice body but could not act even if his life depended on it.

  8. Nice to see Felton might be getting some better roles than simply reprising Draco Malfoy in variation. Fifth Wave is intriguing, if a little dismal. Dismally uplifting? lol
