  1. I don't remember nearly enough of my Dickens to catch all the references and truly appreciate it, but I love the concept. Should be an interesting series.

    1. I don't remember much either, but I think it will be super fun especially in this vignette format.

  2. So many good things to watch coming up soon! Except for "Last Man Standing" -- I have never liked Tim Allen.

    1. I know he's a bit of an idiot privately... but that sitcom is the best written family sitcom in decades. Really written with much love and intelligence unlike most of today's TVcrap

    1. it will be such a bliss! Even though we've seen Medicis in almost all of the epic shows in recent years from REIGN to DA VINCI'S DEMONS and all others. Madden will be amazing

    1. Hope he doesn't act himself in the series :)

    2. yep, he is one of them actors that have egoistic approach in which they always act themselves not their characters. Pacino, Hoffman, Sean Penn, Gosling are such types

    3. Madonna's ex wife..... wait, who's Madonna? I don't know... why are you asking me? Go and ask Charlize Theron...

    1. It will be interesting to see if he will be better than Jeremy Irons as Pope Borgia

  7. I had no idea the show was still on let alone season 5

    1. it is the best watched sitcom on Friday evenings for four years now, ABC would be stupid to cancel a comedy with such rating. It might even get syndicated after season five. And it is the only quality comedy out there. Old school.

  8. You sold us on Last Man Standing. I told Jason that we have to add that to our must see list.

    1. I think Jason will enjoy it, because it has that manly aspect in it and you will enjoy the family aspect and his wife and three daughters :) It is really a show that you can watch with your daughters too. Very intelligent, educational, dealing with current issues and family topics in a very delightful, wise and also tolerant way, because although Tim is Republican and has such views, he always reaches an agreement with his son in law and daughters who are liberal :)

Dahlink, I can send you seasons 3 and 4 as I have them in my computer. Would you like that? You just have to cover seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix or something.

    2. I tried to watch the first season but I gave up. Not because of Tim, but I hate those pre-recorded laughs you keep hearing. Hahaha Hahahaha Hahahaha

    3. Noooo! Those are my fave in multicamera sitcoms!

    4. There should be a soundtrack without the fake laughter machines. Stupid overdub.

    5. whatcha mean fake machine, multi camera sitcoms are shot in front of live audience

  9. It does sound like a very good show, and we have always loved Tim Allen. Thanks for the offer on the shows, but I am sure I will be able to get them on Netflix or Amazon by the time we get around to seeing this one. The next 3 months are all about holiday films. I tv time will be jammed up for quite some time with all the specials that are getting ready to air. I can't wait!

    1. I think Jason would like it because he is also LAST MAN STANDING in your cassa :) and you could relate to Vanessa and her empty nest syndrome :( It is one of the very few sitcoms that you can actually watch with your kids and laugh together without anything indecent popping up.
Tell me if you change your mind :) I have AGE OF ADELINE in my computer too :)

    2. Me too. Of course, there's a big hole in my heart already, now that I'm officially shallow and a Ted Baker fetishist.
