'BEOWULF: RETURN TO THE SHIELDLANDS' EPIC TV SERIES
Continuing our period set projects  weekend, check out the first teaser trailer for ITV's new epic fantasy series BEOWULF: RETURN TO THE SHIELD- LANDS which should air some time early next year in thirteen episodes starring DA VINCI'S DEMONS' Kieran Bew in the lead role!
With the story set in the mythical Shieldlands, a place of spectacle and danger populated by both humans and fantastical creatures, Kieran Bew plays one of literature’s greatest and most enduring heroes, Beowulf. Ed Speleers (ERAGON, DOWNTON ABBEY) plays Slean and Laura Donnelly takes is Elvina.
KIERAN BEW & ED SPELEERS
BEOWULF is a series about courage, greed, betrayal, revenge, loyalty, power, man versus wilderness and, of course love. It is a series that explores the notion of good and evil, heroes and villains. However, beyond these wider political undercurrents and inner personal turmoils are the excitement, danger and sense of adventure that any great Western has. Epic fights, thrilling chases, raids, celebrations and battles are an essential part of the promise. The cast also includes William Hurt, Joanne Whalley, David Harewood, Elliott Cowan, Joe Sims, David Bradley, Emmett Scanlan and others.

NEW PHOTOS FOR EPIC SERIES
'JEKYLL AND HYDE'
Speaking of ITV, check out new photos from other two of their upcoming epic dramas: JEKYLL AND HYDE and JERICHO!  The first one, set in glamourous 1930s London, will star another DA VINCI'S DEMONS' actor Tom Bateman as Robert Jekyll, Richard E Grant as Bulstrode who heads the secret government department MI0 known as ‘The Invisible Men’ and Natalie Gumede as Bella who forms part of a love triangle with Robert.

'JERICHO'
Meanwhile, there are two set photos from JERICHO,  set in the 1870s, and focusing on the shantytown of Jericho, home to a community that will live, thrive and die in the shadow of the viaduct they’ve been brought together to build. Pioneers, settlers and outcasts, they include people with secrets to hide and those looking to start again. Jessica Raine and Hans Matheson lead the cast!

    2. Darling it is a clothing line out of London. It originated in Glasgow as a fine, tailored shop. Once upon a time ago it was a fine shop, now it mass produces off the rack clothes at high prices. It sells now in America to those folks for whom labels are important. You know, the shallow types who "dress to impress:. Hideous.

    7. And to think I'd never even heard of Ted Baker. Sigh. I just liked the style. Sigh. I guess I'm now officially hideously shallow.

At least Theresa still likes me.

    9. Unless they're Ted Baker speedos. Excuse me while I go and burn my suits. I don't need suits to be branded shallow. I can do that butt naked.

  5. Everything today looks good. I do wish there was more than just a teaser for Beowulf though.

I like the look and style of Jekyll and Hyde. Also it looks like a creative take on the original story. I'm going to love it.

Jericho looks pretty good but not quite as high level as the other two. I most likely will watch that and enjoy it as well.

It is finally Autumn weather here darling. I'm enjoying cooler days and crisp nights at last. Hopefully it will last through the month and not drop to below freezing by mid month. Have temps leveled out for you guys?

    1. Dahlink, we're lucky we got this one! ITV and BBC are not exactly strong on marketing. They don't even have these posters above at their site! And they tend to release a trailer a week at most before airing.

JERICHO might surprise us, since those series about the lowest ranks often end up being the best ones... think THE MILL and BANISHED :) I must send you UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS too, the newer version. I think I have it in my PC.

Yes, it's been cold and rainy and gloomy for a week here too. If figures it would rain, since I washed my windows :) I did manage to paint them a bit... did you set your house up for the winter, dear?

    2. I've done the front room, but there are 8 more rooms to go. And I've taken on redoing the music room by myself. I just finished laying new carpet. Now I'm going to attempt painting the room. And I also have to do all the Autumn work to the gardens for the next Spring. I'm busy but very happy to be so.

    3. OMG how many imperial chambers are there in your castle, dear ? :)
Do you think this winter will be easier for you? Meaning warmer and without water problems?

  6. These all look good, but I am most interested in Victorian times and the early 1900s, so the last two appeal to me the most. :)
