BBC DRAMA WITH NATALIE DORMER AND ANEURIN BARNARD
Now, here's something wonderfully naughty and wonderfully historical to start your week in a regal mood. BBC 2 has released first cast pictures and a trailer for their upcoming TV movie THE SCANDA- LOUS LADY W starring Natalie Dormer (The Tudors, Hunger Games, Game of Thrones) who leads a cast of British actors in this gripping 18th century drama, detailing the scandalous life of Seymour, Lady Worsley, who dared to leave her husband and elope with his best friend, Captain 
George Bisset, played by Aneurin Barnard (The White Queen). The movie will air August 17th!
INSPIRED BY OIL PAINTING
In the TV movie based on the book LADY WORSLEY'S WHIM by Hallie Rubenhold (who was inspired by the full length oil painting of Lady Worsley that hangs in Harewood House in Yorkshire in which she is depicted wearing a bright red riding habit.), Natalie Dormer plays the passionate, courageous Seymour, Lady Worsley, who escapes her troubled marriage only to find
herself at the centre of a very public
trial brought by her powerful husband Sir Richard Worsley, played by Shaun Evans,
who seeks compensation from her lover for the affair.
As this extraordinary true
story unfolds, Lady Worsley takes the brave
decision to publicly expose the secrets of her marriage. The scandalous
courtroom revelations 
challenge the hypocrisy of the law that brands a
wife the property of her husband, calling into question the whole
concept of a woman’s 'worth'.

Sounds like she was one of the first women who spoke up for women's rights.

Deletewhatcha mean why? Because she cheated on her husband with another man, that would be the definition of an adulteress :) She didn't divorce him or something first. If you have problems with the hubs you certainly won't go searching for a solution in another man's bed...at least not until you untie yourself from the original tangle :)

DeleteNatalie Dormer seems to be all over the place lately. I like her better as a brunette though :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why is she suddenly so everywhere... can't say I adore her... but I think it has to do with her sultry and spicy persona and willingness to be naughty in all her roles. She recently shot a movie here in Serbia with Taylor Kinney and went to one of our stripclubs with Lady Gaga :) who got wasted and left about $5,000 to the female strippers :)

she liked it here so much that she was begging someone the other day at Instagram or Pinterest, I don't know, to send her some slivovitza, which is our national plum brandy... strong as hell ... she even wore a T/shirt saying FUCK COLA, FUCK PIZZA, ALL WE NEED IS SLIVOVITZA :)

DeleteSounds intense considering women had no rights back then. Those costumes are amazing. That actor in the 2nd pic almost looks like Daniel Radcliffe.
ReplyDeletethat is Aneurin Barnard, a rather bland actor if you ask me, has no expressions, but you will probably be seeing him in the future as well, since he often appears in epic projects. I watched him in MARIA MUNDI and WHITE QUEEN
DeleteI see some known faces, but I am not sure if I will watch them. I tried Downton Abby, I liked it then I just stopped. And, the world loves Game of thrones & '"I cant get to start watching it.
