DIANE KEATON IS VATICAN NUN NEXT TO JUDE LAW'S 'THE YOUNG POPE' IN NEW TV SERIES! ED SHEERAN TO STAR IN 'BASTARD EXECUTIONER' EPIC SERIES! ZACH MCGOWAN, NEIL SANDILANDS, MICHAEL BEACH JOIN 'THE 100' SEASON 3

'THE 100' SF SHOW 3RD SEASON
CASTS ZACH MCGOWAN, MICHAEL BEACH, NEIL SANDILANDS
A bunch of TV news today, people, starting with casting updates for CW's hit show THE 100! Have you watched it so far? It is set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, revolving around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet! But once down there they find primitive and advanced humans, both equally violent! The third season, which starts in early 2016, has cast Neil Sandilands (as Titus, an embodiment of the Old Guard, who works to preserve and protect his Grounder civilization),  BLACK SAILS star Zach McGowan (as Roan, a rogue Grounder warrior who will stop at nothing to get what he wants), and Michael Beach (as Pike, a tough and charismatic member of the Ark with a staunch moral code).

ED SHEERAN JOINS
'THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER' EPIC TELEVISION SERIES
Well some like his music, some think it's a suffocatingly mediocre crap, but Ed Sheeran sure does have his eye on acting business and movies. First he wrote the main song for one of THE HOBBIT movies, then earlier this year he had a singing/ acting stint in NBC's UNDATEABLE sitcom and now he will have a recurring role in FX's new epic series THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER which will see Lee Jones playing a battle weary mediaeval knight returning to the ways of violence in the midst of Welsh rebellion. As 'Hollywood Reporter' writes, Ed Sheeran will play a power hungry protege of a corrupt church official named Sir Corma!
DIANE KEATON JOINS JUDE LAW IN 'YOUNG POPE'
Meanwhile, Diane Keaton will play a nun who lives in Vatican and who has raised the first American pope played by Jude Law in new TV series THE YOUNG POPE and who still has power over him!  The HBO, Sky and Canal + series tells describes the beginning of the Pontificate of Pius XIII, a man of great power who’s stubbornly resistant to the Vatican courtiers, unconcerned with the implications for his authority.

  1. Hi, Dez:)
I have not seen 100 but I'd like to. Sounds like a great storyline.

    2. yes, their plan is actually to air the third a bit later (not from September but from midseason) so that people could catch up on the previous episodes at Netflix or Amazon

  2. Haven't seen 100, but will probably eventually get around to watching it.

Jason cringes when Ed Sheeran comes on the radio. He thinks all his songs sound pretty much the same. I admit, I do like a few myself. I am not sure how good of an actor he is, but I guess I'll find out this fall!

    1. It ain't bad, but at some point turns a bit too violent for me... The premise is certainly intriguing....it has a book too....

I'm with Jason... I'm deeply saddened with the mediocrity of today's music scene... which includes Sheeran too... just a boy with no talent who writes the same song all over again and has never made a memorable melody to this day.... but yet he is celebrated just like that mediocre little lass Taylor Swift is.... none of them has ever had a real hit in their lives... and under hit I mean a song to remember..... I just don't understand today's music any more.... The only song of his I ever liked was that first one with angel in the video.

    2. I admit, I am a Taylor Swift fan. No, she doesn't have a great voice, but I find her songs to be pretty catchy and they get stuck in my head all day. I love how she treats her fans, too. She genuinely seems to care about them. While she gets a bad rap for her dating life, I would much rather have her for a role model to my girls than most of the other little tarts on the music scene today.

I agree with you about not understanding today's music. I HATE playing the radio anymore. Even Pandora is starting to tick me off, and I can pretty much customize that!

    3. for realz, sister? Which one of her songs is catchy, because I swear I couldn't spot a melody in them if my life depended on it. The only one I like is I KNOW YOU WAS TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE :) but that one is so different from anything she does.
Her current boyfriend is nom nom on the om :)

    4. I liked her much better when she was at her country roots and find myself listening to her earlier albums quite often. My girls always ran around singing Love Story, though I guess that one was more pop'ish. Allison would put on a Cinderella dress (I think she was 4 at the time) and would just belt it out. Good memories there, so that will always be my favorite of hers. I did listen to Blank Space from her new album a lot when it first came out. She's got this cute little sign on the outskirts of her beach house saying "I Knew You Were Trouble When You First Walked In. Please Keep Out." Nice little play on her song.

    5. he he ... that's a ice sign.... Although I despise the new direction she is taking... the violent one... you did notice that in BLANK SPACE and in BAD BLOOD she had violent videos... She tortured Shawn O'Pry in the first one (just imagine if some male singer tortured and molested a girl in his video) and BAD BLOOD is just horribly violent.... Why is she taking such stupid direction when so many little girls see her as their role model?

    6. She did? We don't watch music videos often, so that makes me pretty sad she would promote violence like that, especially knowing young girls look up to her. I do hope parents speak up and she listens! We have enough little girls running around acting like they are little bad asses, we don't need Taylor making them think it's ok. I just had an encounter with 3 little ghetto girls at our community center. One, probably 14? tried sooo hard to pick a fight with me, walking IN THE STREET in front of my car, kept turning around looking at me like "what cha gonna do about it?" While her friends looked on laughing. I am NOT justifying the brutality of our police, but with parents raising these brats to have attitudes like this, thinking that rules don't apply to them, I can see where it can get ugly quickly, then we have them crying about what sweet kids they are, how they don't ever do anything wrong. After about 2 minutes of her crap, I honestly wanted to run her over. Instead, I just breathed deep, reminding myself that she's the product of her environment. Here is where population control would come in mighty handy.

    7. she did. She molests her rich boyfriend in BLANK SPACE even shoots him with an arrow, methinks... Kinda like that video from last year of Justin Timberlake who gets tied by his legs to a car and then his girlfriend pulls him over dusty roads with her car like that.... just imagine if it was the other way around....
Taylor also started dressing sexy... I've seen that she wears panties and garters on her concerts now.. and you know lil' kids are her audience there....

Parents are horrible these days... I'm afraid of the adults today's kids will grow into in about ten years... it's getting worse and worse....
A lil' girl from across the street called me fat yesterday (I'm not really, I just pretend to be sometimes :)... and I really didn't know what to do... because I know her parents are even worse... so no point talking to them.... In our days our parents would first wash our mouth with soap and only after that ask what we did... now they'd just beat the victim who their kids are foulmouthing....

    8. You know, it really is sad what parenting has come to nowadays, especially if little kids don't think twice about insulting someone else. That little girl will probably grow up to be the school bully. Some might question my parenting at times, but never once have I ever heard anyone tell me my girls were rude or disrespectful. I get praises on their behavior all the time (and wonder why they can't act nice like that at home). Allison just got Studen of the Year at school. Her grades aren't fabulous, so I asked why they picked her. She said they told her because she was the only student they never had to correct behavior wise. Sad that out of the whole school, only one behaved all year.

    9. *student* I need to go back to school ;)

    10. he he guess your kids find their vent from good behaviour at home :) But better there than in the public. Congrats to Allison on the award! They do have lovely parents so no wonder there.

  5. Not sure what to think of Ed Sheeran as an actor, but I do like his video 'Thinking Out Loud.' Diane Keaton as a nun should be interesting.
