'TEXAS RISING' EPIC SERIES TRAILER WITH OLIVIER MARTINEZ, BRENDAN FRASER, BILL PAXTON, CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY, THOM JANE! LUC BESSON TO ADAPT 'VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF THOUSAND PLANETS' SF EPIC! DOUGLAS BOOTH IS SHELLEY IN 'A STORM IN THE STARS'

LUC BESSON TO ADAPT
VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF THOUSAND PLANETS
In his first tweets ever, French director Luc Besson has revealed today that this December he will start production on the big screen adaptation of VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS science fiction graphic novel! Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevigne are set to lead the cast. As 'Deadline' reports they will play Valerian and Laureline in the adaptation of the original story, which centred on a pair of spatio temporal agents who help defend a utopian 28th century Earth and its neighbouring planets from bad guys, with the pair’s adventures rooted in space opera and time travel themes not so much unlike Besson's 'Fifth Element'!

DOUGLAS BOOTH VENTURES
INTO 'A STORM IN THE STARS'
Meanwhile, ROMEO AND JULIET, JUPITER ASCENDING and NOAH's  Douglas Booth play poet Percy Shelley in Haifaa Al-Mansour’A STORM IN THE STARS joining Elle Fanning and Bel Powley! This brand new take on the unconventional life of 18 year-old Mary Shelley, charts Mary’s tempestuous love affair with charismatic poet Percy Shelley, her notorious trip to Lake Geneva with Lord Byron and the rocky road that made her into an icon. It remains to be seen who will play Byron in the movie which starts production later this year!

'TEXAS RISING' TRAILER
 WITH THE MIND BLOWING CAST
Something premiering at History Channel worldwide on May 25th is dynamic new historical series TEXAS RISING which will depict the formation of the legendary Texas Rangers during the state's revolution against Mexico in five episodes. In 1836, west of the Mississippi was considered the Wild West and the Texas frontier was viewed as hell on earth. Crushed from the outside by Mexican armadas and attacked from within by ferocious Comanche tribes, no one was safe. But this was a time of bravery, a time to die for what you believed in and a time to stand tall against the cruel rule of the Mexican General Santa Anna (Olivier Martinez). General Sam Houston (Bill Paxton), the rag tag Rangers and the legendary “Yellow Rose of Texas” lead this story of the human will to win against insurmountable odds. At the end, the Texas flags stood tall and victorious, claiming a piece of history for all eternity. Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Thomas Jane, Crispin Glover, Jeremy Davies, Chad Michael Murray and Kris Kristofferson also star!

    4. absolutely, he was so amazing in QUIET AMERICAN and CRASH! Wish he would get an Oscar and turn his career around

    5. Does he need to turn his career around? He's kind of a mega star that you don't think of as being a mega star. He chooses wisely in his roles and slips quietly out of the limelight. I'd say he's one of the few actors who have figured out how to be successful and not have the media in your face day and night.

    6. agreed! I just thought that he might get more dramatic roles if he was more present around

  4. That pic is perfect for this post. In it he has the look of the "moody" poet about him. This is a film that I will see as, even though I know the story of these people, I still find them interesting. A new take would be fine.

Texas Rising looks good, but I am currently banning all things Texas from my life. They are doing the most horrid things to the Mexican Immigrants down there. Bringing them in (legally and illegally) and making indentured slaves of them. The economy there is booming and it's due to how little they pay the Mexicans. These poor folks are brought in, forced to live in tiny cramped caravans, given little pay and little to eat. When they are working, the employers do not follow standard health and safety laws. These men are getting hurt on the job, some getting crippled and some dying. They get no medical treatment and no compensation. It is exactly the same thing they did to the Chinese and Irish immigrants. If I can find it, I shall give a link to an investigative report of these atrocities. That is what someone should be making a series about.

    1. I just hope they don't make it into a teensy affair :) Hope they find someone nice for Byron and hope he and Booth hit if of together :)

Dahlink, US economy can boom only on the blood of other nations... that is how they roll.... that is why they have to enslave someone or invade someone every other year.... but sooner or later the Latinos will be predominant in USA and I wonder what will happen then.....

    2. They figured out war makes them money ages ago and play both sides of the fence in weapons trade. This way they can create a war somewhere, and then act all surprised and say "We can't tolerate that kind of behaviour" Then BAM, they're raining bombs from the sky.

There's an ice cream manufacturer in this town that uses all illegals. I found the place behind the factory where they house them. It's horrid. Anyway, non of the Mexicans would come out into the community for the last two years. But they are out now shopping in the stores and the people here are flipping their shit. They've known about these workers and said nothing as long as they stayed out of sight.

The shop owners on the Main Street called the coppers on me the first time I went walking just to see what was in the stores. By the time I got to the end of the street, there sat a cruiser waiting for me. I can't imagine what they'll do to these poor folks.

    3. Yep, like in Syria where they first wanted to bomb Asad who was fighting against ISIS and now they wanna fight ISIS... because their war industry just has to work constantly....

That is horrible... did you try to talk to any of them? Hope there aren't kids in there...

What? Why did they call cops on you? They thought you suspicious because of the accent? I just can't imagine what you have to go through living in such a small hillbilly town.... it often breaks my heart just thinking of it and you know where I live :)

    2. wish they would stop.... did you hear about Albanian terrorists taking over a whole city and killing a dozen of policemen down in Macedonia last week? Nobody even reported about it around the world because USA supports terrorists.... Enough fighting....

    3. Nope. Because nobody reported it. But I'm not surprised.
