ROBOT MONDAY: NEW POSTERS FOR 'CHAPPIE' WITH HUGH JACKMAN, 'ROBOT OVERLORDS' WITH BEN KINGSLEY, GILLIAN ANDERSON + BAFTA'S 2015 RED CARPET REPORT!

 NEW 'CHAPPIE' POSTERS
HUGH JACKMAN'S SF MOVIE
We're having a robot Monday today at HOLLYWOOD SPY, people, starting with brand new posters for Hugh Jackman's science fiction drama CHAPPIE from DISTRICT 9 director Neill Blomkamp! This dystopian tale is set to open in cinemas March 6th also starring Sigourney Weaver, Dev Patel and Sharlto Copley.

HUMANITY'S LAST HOPE ISN'T HUMAN
In the near future, crime is patrolled by an oppressive mechanized police force. But now, the people are fighting back. When one police droid, CHAPPIE, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. As powerful, destructive forces start to see CHAPPIE as a danger to mankind and order, they will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo and ensure that CHAPPIE is the last of his kind. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.

'ROBOT OVERLORDS'
SF MOVIE GETS NEW POSTER
Also opening in March, but a bit later, on the 19th, is British science fiction adventure ROBOT OVERLORDS with the cast lead by Ben Kingsley, Gillian Anderson and Callan McAuliffe. The story of  the movie is set on an Earth which has been conquered by robots from
another galaxy and the human survivors must stay in their homes, or risk incineration if they venture outside and they must wear electronic implants.

BAFTA 2015 RED CARPET
GLAMOROUS FASHION REPORT!
And speaking of Brits, BAFTAs, the British Film Academy awards were held last night and we're bringing you a quick fashion report from the red carpet. Among the ladies we liked best Lea Seydoux in sunny yellow and stunningly gorgeous DA VINCI'S DEMONS star and Sam Claflin's wife Laura Haddock. Natalie Dormer had the most intriguing lace gloves, while Reese Witherspoon opted for revealing strange looking cleavage that we've seen at recent VANITY FAIR cover. Among gents our most beloved Luke Evans, Tom Hiddleston (who has turned 34 today!) and Henry Cavill were all absolutely dashing!

  1. From everything I've seen of CHAPPIE it almost looks like a Short Circuit remake. Not that it would be a bad thing...

  5. CHAPPIE looks great. I was worried about OVERLORDS, but it looks ok. The British often do these things well, though.

  7. Chappie reminds me of a character that used to be on a late night syfy review show....I don't exactly remember the name. "SciFi Theater 7000"?

All the celebs look fab! That yellow dress is stunning! So is Cavill!

    2. I don't read magazines, so I missed the cover. Ever since she went on that drunken rant, I've lost respect for her. Sweetheart she isn't. I still like the dress though ;)

  10. Beautiful gowns.

I was terrified of robots as a child. It's only been in the past few years that I've been able to comfortably watch robot movies.
