COMEDY FRIDAY: 'THE COBBLER' TRAILER WITH ADAM SANDLER, DUSTIN HOFFMAN! LINDSAY PRICE AND CHRIS KLEIN JOIN NEW NBC SITCOM 'HOW WE LIVE'! JENNA ELFMAN TO LEAD NEW FOX SITCOM

'HOW WE LIVE' NBC SITCOM
CASTS LINDSAY PRICE, CHRIS KLEIN AND JARED GERTNER
Lovely TV news today, at least for me, since I've always adored gorgeous Lindsay Price (especially in LIPSTICK JUNGLE and EASTWICK)! She has joined new sitcom at NBC together with Chris Klein and Jared Gertner! HOW WE LIVE will revolve around Russell, a blogger, and his wife Holly who move to the suburbs where he begins writing about marriage and the family lives of his suburban friends and neighbours, in the style of an anthropologist who’s stumbled on an undiscovered tribe. Chris Klein will plays Russell’s best friend Matt, a former brat guy who loves sports and red meat and helps Russell navigate the pitfalls of his new environment. Jared Gertner will be Matt’s friend Dennis, a sweet, nerdy, emotional guy who likes cooking, while mind blowingly beautiful Lindsay Price plays Dennis’ sweet, quirky and a little scattered wife Claudia.

JENNA ELFMAN TO LEAD
UNTITLED FOX SITCOM
Speaking of our favourite genre of television sitcoms, Fox has hired Jenna Elfman to lead their upcoming new untitled sitcom in which the story is told from the point of view of Ellen (Elfman), a working mom who is in constant competition with her perfect, stay-at-home sister-in-law. Ellen constantly second guesses herself and, by extension, her husband. She worries she’s a bad mom/ wife/ daughter-in-law and often takes on more than she can handle in an effort to prove otherwise.

'THE COBBLER' TRAILER
NEW ADAM SANDLER COMEDY
Your delightful trailer for the end of the week is the first one for Adam Sandler's hilarious new comedy THE COBBLER which will take your shoes to the theatres March 13th! Also starring Dustin Hoffman, Dan Stevens, Steve Buscemi and Ellen Barkin, it follows Max Simkin (Adam Sandler) who repairs shoes in the same New York shop that has been in his family for generations. Disenchanted with the grind of daily life, Max stumbles upon a magical heirloom that allows him to step into the lives of his customers and see the world in a new way. Sometimes walking in another man's shoes is the only way one can discover who they really are.

  1. You know, I'm not an Adam Sandler fan at all but every once in a while he does actually come up with a decent movie, like "The Wedding Singer" or "Don't Mess With the Zohan" that has a bit of thoughtful substance to it along with the comedy. Could "The Cobbler" be one of those? The trailer looks promising.

  2. It seems the last few Adam Sandler movies have not been that good. I'm kind of up in the air about The Cobbler after seeing the trailer. It failed to make me smile once. Definitely not worth me paying movie theater prices to see, but maybe when it comes to Netflix I'll watch it on a slow day.

    1. I'm not even sure why people watch movies at cinemas... with the prices these days....

    2. We have one about 20 minutes away. All 4 of us can get movie tickets, popcorn and a drink for about $22. That's a great price for us to get out of the house and do something together as a family. The other theaters I will only go to if I have free movie tickets. And I smuggle in my own drink and candy.

    3. that is lovely. Our cinemas are too expensive, and most aren't comfy either. And we don't have a cineplex in my city, only in the capital.

  6. How We Live has not been on my radar - I'll need to see this. Elfman at times is too silly for me... don't know.
Sadler - same issue - too silly but I hope this is better. It's not all slap-happy, but has some thriller qualities. I bet he gets into some serious... doo.
