GORGEOUS NEW CHARACTER POSTERS FOR 'JUPITER ASCENDING' SF EPIC ADVENTURE WITH MILA KUNIS, CHANNING TATUM, EDDIE REDMAYNE, SEAN BEAN

'JUPITER ASCENDING' SF EPIC
STUNNING NEW CHARACTER POSTERS REVEALED
Gorgeous new character posters have been revealed for the long awaited science fiction epic JUPITER ASCENDING which will finally arrive into theatres next February directed by the Wachowsky siblings. The movie tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along — her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. It turns out that her DNA is identical to the one of the Queen of the Universe!

EDDIE REDMAYNE ALIEN ROYALTY
Beside Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, the other two posters show Eddie Redmayne and Sean Bean. Sean Bean is playing Stinger, who is spliced with bee DNA, giving him wings, speed, special vision and a sense of loyalty. Stinger was in the military with Caine, but when Caine got into trouble and Stinger stood up for him, his wings were removed and he was exiled to Earth. He lives a normal life on Earth along with his daughter, who he describes as the only good thing he's done in life, until she falls ill and is in need of a special nectar. Eddie Redmayne stars as Balem Abrasax, alien royalty whose family engages in the planetary business, trading in youth serum. He is the elder of the three Abrasax siblings and serves as the main villain who wants Earth for himself! Douglas Booth also stars!

  1. With any luck, it'll be as amazing as it looks (and as we've so often been promised).

    1. probably, but not because it is bad, but because of the ignorant fanboys who will trash it before it comes out

  3. Eddie Redmayne scares me with those Angelie Jolie lips. I loved the trailer; hope John--see above--is wrong. I'm in need of good sci-fi diversion.

    1. fingers crossed, the most striking of movies usually flop because they get trashed before they come out

  5. JUPITER ASCENDING looks interesting, albeit I find Mila Kunis's acting rather lackluster in most films she's in.

  13. Those posters are lovely and this does look good. But like you said the fanboys will be all over it like stink on shit.

I want to ask you about the portrayal of Kublai. I don't know much about him as our history was woefully lacking in this area.

They are portraying him as intelligent, benevolent, wise, cultured an all around nice guy. A very likable character. When I ?hink of the Mongol hordes I don't think of these traits. Did the grandsons of Genghis learn and acquire taste after exposure to other cultures? Or is this just to make a better story?

    1. I've downloaded first two episodes and will watch them soon :) Most of the Huns and Mongols were butchers, but then again Kublai was obsessed with China and maybe he took some of their culture and calmness....

    2. That's how I thought they were. Barbarians with no culture, crude and bloodthirsty. Let me know what you think of it.
