TIM BURTON'S 'BIG EYES' POSTER WITH AMY ADAMS & CHRISTOPH WALTZ! NBC TO PRODUCE SITCOMS WITH ARMIE HAMMER, AMY POEHLER AND ROB LOWE, AND 'MARLEY AND ME' TV COMEDY

NEW SITCOMS AT NBC
'MARLEY AND ME' AND  ARMIE HAMMER INSPIRED TV COMEDIES
It's a very slow movie news day, so I only have some TV updates for you, starting with some new NBC sitcoms info: first, they're planning to turn MARLEY & ME movie into TV comedy, which would follow a young couple who takes in a stray dog who soon turns out to be a real canine mischief! Beside that, NBC will also produce a sitcom based on Armie Hammer's life experiences which would follow a guy whose world is rocked when he finds out his parents have been secretly “seeing” his ex-girlfriend for three years since he broke up with her, and the highly unlikely friendship he forms with his ex’s fiancée. In real life, Armie didn't know that a sweet older couple his wife was friends with were the parents of her ex boyfriend film producer Gordon Gray (who will produce the sitcom with Armie).

ROB LOWE AND AMY POEHLER SITCOMS
Another untitled comedy at NBC will also be Amy Poehler produced sitcom about a young, agnostic woman who inherits a church and the crew of strong willed characters who make up her new community. Meanwhile, Rob Lowe will topline an NBC sitcom about a newly sober narcissist whose decision to be a good parent doesn’t come until his kids are teens when he returns to his hometown to issue mea culpas to his son and daughter, as well as to his ex-wife and her new family.

NEW 'BIG EYES' POSTER WITH
AMY ADAMS & CHRISTOPH WALTZ
The Weinstein Company has released the first poster for Tim Burton's BIG EYES which comes out this Christmas starring Christoph Waltz as infamous painter Walter Keane who was known for his paintings with big eyes and for the commercialization of popular art, but who had a dark secret - all his work actually wasn't his but his wife's (Amy Adams)! He became worldwide famous taking credit for her paintings!

    1. They seem to be making tones of new TV series out of movies, from MINORITY REPORT and MARLEY AND ME, to MONSTER IN LAW and ILLUSIONIST and RUSH HOUR

  3. BIG EYES is definitely one to look out for. Love Amy Adams!

And as for Rob Lowe, I've never known what the fuss is all about. Overrated in my opinion.

    1. I give all sitcoms a chance :) but I prefer the multiple camera ones and usually don't like the single camera ones

  6. Big Eyes trailer made up for any movie weekend slowness Dez. Tim Burton gets involved in some crazy projects and I'm intrigued about this one. Also I love Amy Adams and this movie really touches on some important life themes. Good to see Rob Lowe getting a regular gig. Hopefully the series gets picked up.

    1. A number of Lowe's sitcoms weren't picked up this Autumn, so he really needs this one

  7. None of the sitcoms appeal to me. I would like to see "Big Eyes". I love to paint and cannot imagine someone else taking the credit. And Tim Burton anything.

    1. I've experienced others taking credit for my work :) Currently there are dozens of sites around the web which copy and paste our posts, some even copy and paste the layout and pictures and design and everything in order to get money from Google ads...

  12. "Big Eyes" looks great! Disturbing, but great. And nice to see Terrence Stamp in a movie again too.

And I had a couple of those big eye prints in my room when I was a kid -- they were indeed staggeringly popular. Everyone had them in their homes in those days. *shudder*
