LIAM HEMSWORTH & WOODY HARRELSON IN 'BY WAY OF HELENA' WESTERN! FIRST IMAGES FROM 'SUITE FRANCAISE' WW2 DRAMA WITH MICHELLE WILLIAMS, KRISTIN SCOTT THOMAS, MATTHIAS SCHOENAERTS, LAMBERT WILSON

'BY WAY OF HELENA' WESTERN
LIAM HEMSWORTH & WOODY HARRELSON GO WILD WEST
Since it is the holiday over in USA shall we go Wild West today? 'Deadline' has announced that Thor's lil' brother Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson will star in revenge Western BY WAY OF HELENA! The two of them will head the cast in Kieran Darcy Smith (WISH YOU WERE HERE) directed movie. Hemsworth will star as David, an 1880s Texas Ranger sent to an isolated frontier town to investigate a series of mysterious murders. There he squares off against Harrelson as a local preacher named Abraham who holds the townsfolk in a fearful grip.

DID YOU KNOW?
While Woody Harrelson is preparing to star in NOW YOU SEE ME 2 heist movie sequel, Liam Hemsworth will also star in THE DRESSMAKER in which Kate Winslet is a glamorous woman who returns to her small town in rural Australia. With her sewing machine and haute couture style, she transforms the women and exacts sweet revenge on those who did her wrong.

And the only other thing I have for you today (since it will be a very poor few days due to the holidays in Hollywood) are the first pictures from sweeping World War Two drama SUITE FRANCAISE which will arrive to cinemas sometime this year. The big screen adaptation of the bestselling novel by  Irene Nemirovsky is directed by Saul Dibb (THE DUCHESS) and is boasting a rather stellar cast including Oscar winning Michelle Williams and Kristin Scott Thomas, international stars Matthias Schoenaerts and Lambert Wilson, and rising stars Margot Robbie and Sam Riley. The story is set in France, 1940. In the first days of occupation, beautiful Lucile Angellier is trapped in a stifled existence with her controlling mother-in-law as they both await news of her husband: a prisoner of war. Parisian refugees start to pour into their small town, soon followed by a regiment of German soldiers who take up residence in the villagers' own homes. Lucile initially tries to ignore Bruno von Falk, thehandsome and refined German officer staying with them. But soon, a powerful love draws them together and leads them into the tragedy of war.

  1. Need to put Suite Francaise on my to watch movie list. Thanks for all the pictures and info Dez. You keep me in the know. Would it be bad if I said that all I could think about for that Helena Western is that Liam H. is handsome? Oh and cool he'll make that sequel in NYSM2.

  5. I don't think I've ever seen Liam Hemsworth in anything but both those upcoming movies sound good. I'm looking forward to "Suite Francaise" although I don't see how it can end other than tragically for all concerned.

  8. As much as I like Woody Harrelson and his ability to play a wide range of characters across genres, I'm not big on Westerns and will more than likely skip that "By Way of Helena" movie. The Michelle Williams flick "Suite Francaise" is another story....oh I'm up for watching that one! Partly because I like her...always have since Dawson's Creek, partly because I have a soft spot for war movies.

Speaking of Williams, I still need to watch My Week with Marilyn. Boy am I behind on so many flicks!

    1. The unexpected war situations are always so touching for watching on the big screen or the small one. Those are the films that can enlighten us and give us new perspectives in thinking. I still remember how deeply profound impact Kate Winslet's READER had on my thinking of the wars.... We rarely think of the other side and how most of those people were forced to fight other people's wars.... and were lost as much as we were

  9. Suite Francaise is one I'd watch. I enjoy WWII stories, even if they end tragically.

And, yes, we are having a long holiday weekend in the US. I don't like the fireworks, but the lazy days are nice. :)

  10. Woody Harrelson scares me for some reason. I mean as a person. Maybe it's just the roles he tends to choose, violent, scary sociopaths. But there's something in his eyes that says "danger"

The holiday here was wretched. After the fireworks displays the people round here go outside and shoot their guns into the air. It's rather scary as they are all drunk and what goes up must come down. The coppers here let them do it and don't seem to worry about bullets coming down from the sky.

    1. oh, dear, all holidays are like that here in my country. Especially at New Years when every other house pulls out guns, shotguns, firecrackers and you have at least an hour of warlike noise in the middle of the night. Many pets die from heartattacks then :( And the tradition of shooting from weapons is still very much alive at weddings too down in Serbia. Cops even buy firecrackers to their kids....

Agreed on Woody, dahlink... he isn't all safe....

  11. Well, I for one really love Woody! Maybe it's the dark roles that he takes on that attracts me to him. Not in a "ooh, he's hot" kind of attraction. I just think he would be a very interesting character to sit down and have a conversation with.

You are correct in saying Liam is one mighty good looking fella. There are definitely some amazing genes in that family!
