1ST PICS FROM ABC MEDIEVAL SHOW 'GALAVANT' WITH JOSHUA SASSE! CASEY AFFLECK IN 'LEWIS & CLARK' EPIC MINI SERIES! IOAN GRUFFUDD'S 'FOREVER', GRANT GUSTIN'S 'THE FLASH' PICKED UP FOR SERIES! LIST OF ALL THE CANCELLED SHOWS!

1ST PICS OF JOSHUA SASSE
 IN 'GALAVANT' MEDIEVAL SHOW
One of the fresh pieces of news this weekend is that in the process of ordering and cancelling new projects, ABC has picked up their unique GALAVANT pilot into whole series! This original mixture of historical sitcom with adventure action and even musical elements will be produced by Dan Fogelman (TANGLED) with famous Alan Menken (THE LITTLE MERMAID, ALADDIN, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) writing the songs! Once upon a time, the dashing hero, Galavant (Joshua Sasse) lost the love of his life, Madalena (Mallory Jansen), to the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson). Now, our fallen hero is ready to take revenge and restore his “happily ever after.” But it won’t be without a few twists and turns along the way. Beside Joshua Sasse,  Timothy Omundson will play King Richard, with Vinnie Jones, Mallory Jansen, Karen David and Luke Youngblood also in the cast.

ALL THE TV SHOWS WHICH
GOT PICKED UP OR CANCELLED
CW has picked up THE FLASH for series following Barry Allen, a Central City assistant police forensics investigator, who turns into superspeedy vigilante. Grant Gustin leads the cast alongside Tom Cavanaugh and original The Flash John Wesley Ship! CW has also decided to renew THE 100 and REIGN and to cancel TOMORROW PEOPLE and STARCROSSED, NBC has officially cancelled DRACULA and REVOLUTION, while ABC has ordered Tim Allen's LAST MAN STANDING for fourth season and Ryan Phillippe's SECRETS & LIES into series! Robin Williams' THE CRAZY ONES has been killed over at CBS along with Toni Collette's HOSTAGES but they did pick up Matthew Perry's THE ODD COUPLE sitcom!
IOAN GRUFFUDD TO BE IMMORTAL IN ABC'S 'FOREVER' SHOW
ABC has also ordered FOREVER into series!  Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases, he does it to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years — the answer to his own  inexplicable immortality. This long life has given Henry remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). Each week, a new case and their budding friendship will reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past.

CASEY AFFLECK IN HBO'S
'LEWIS & CLARK' EPIC MINI SERIES
When it comes to historical series, good news come from HBO where they have cast Casey Affleck to topline LEWIS AND CLARK historical mini series! The six hour mini series will be produced by Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt  telling the story of America’s first contact with the land and native tribes of the country west of the Mississippi River. It chronicles the epic journey of the Corps of Discovery and its captains Meriwether Lewis (Affleck) and William Clark traversing uncharted territory on a mission to deliver President Jefferson’s message of sovereignty as they search for his fabled all-water route to the Pacific.

    3. everybody seems to like it, it is really one of those wrongly cancelled ones and everybody will be talking about the injustice for many years like we did with ROME..... and LEGEND OF THE SEEKER

    1. I probably won't watch it, but The Flash is one of the very few superheroes that I actually like and Gustin seems nice in the role

  7. Awe! Darn it! I really liked The Crazy Ones! Wish that one would have stuck around. I don't think I really care about the others that got cancelled and renewed. Hoping for a good lineup this fall to get me excited about!

  9. Galavant sounds refreshing and new and I'm excited to see what it is like. I hope it's as fun as it looks. I like historical mini series and the story of Lewis and Clarke is a good one. However, I'm not a fan of Tom Hanks. And as for Brad Pitt-gag me with a spoon.

I cannot stand Hanks and Pitt either, dear

    2. I'm closing in on being done with the heaviest part of the gardening and hope to have the high priority things done by weeks end. I'm exhausted though and my knees are killing me. I sleep the sleep of the damned though after all that physical work.

    3. I can imagine how your knees feel, dear! Do you at least have some pads for them or something? There will be tones of bone debris in there again :(((

  17. great post and thank you, i am glad your show has not been cancelled. you are an asset to the blog community, i know the network is in talks to cancel my show due to the low ratings... so many new shows didn't get enough viewers, they don't give some a chance. we don't watch new shows anymore, until they have more than a season under their belt... we are sadden by the cancellation of Raising Hope...

    1. which one is yours, Jeremy? They did cancel one of mine - ALMOST HUMAN :( The rest are still on!

The more important thing is that I myself cancel some shows in my schedule after a few episodes when they don't win over my heart :)

    2. we felt that way about "sleepy hollow" in turned into buffy the vampire slayer... we kind of enjoyed the Sean show, the Robin Show and Enlisted... gone and buried.

    3. Yes, I've ditched SLEEPY HOLLOW, VIKINGS, GAME OF THRONES and BLACK SAILS... some for being boring, some from being overly violent or manipulative.

I do miss SEAN SAVES THE WORLD... it was fun.

And now, it's time for me to logout and go get today's bake written up and in the oven. I made 37 gram dough balls last night and as soon as I'm in my prep clothes, I get to roll them into something yummy.

Have a great day, and boogie boogie.

    3. Thanks. Was a fun session. I had two portions of raw dough so I made a super duper thin crunchy pizza crust with the leftover.

Needs work but the flavour is there.

Now ... my 15 minute break is up and I'm headed to paint. I saved your blog for last. You know, the best for last sorta deal.

      Cheers and boogie boogie.
