ANDREA CREMER AND DAVID LEVITHAN TO BE MADE INTO FILM
Here's an interesting plot for you: Warner Bros. has acquired rights on
supernatural YA novel INVISIBILITY by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan
which revolves around a 16-year-boy named Stephen, who was born
invisible to the rest of the world. His life is changed forever when he
meets his new neighbour Elizabeth, the only person who can see him.
Together they set off on a journey to learn more about his mysterious
affliction, as they uncover a number of curses and spells along the way.

DA VINCI'S DEMONS RENEWED FOR THIRD SEASON
Lots of TV updates today, people. First, Starz has renewed DA VINCI'S DEMONS for the third season but with the new showrunner - John Shiban (BREAKING BAD, X FILES).
JOHNATHON SCHAECH IN 'TEXAS
RISING'
Over at History, Johnathon Schaech is the latest name to join their historical miniseries TEXAS RISING which will detail the Texas Revolution against Mexico and the rise of the legendary Texas Rangers. Schaech will play Colonel Sherman, the blustering Kentucky aristocrat who thinks Sam Houston (Bill Paxton) is a disastrous commander and challenges his orders at every opportunity. The stellar cast already includes Brendan Fraser, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Ray Liotta, Thomas Jane, Chad Michael Murray, Olivier Martinez and many young stars!

Meanwhile, Fox has ordered RED BAND SOCIETY into series. Starring Octavia Spencer and David Annable it is a coming-of-age
drama with humour set at a big-city hospital. It explores
with dark humor the daily life of a group of teenage kids living in a
hospital who become unlikely friends.

FROM 'POLDARK' PERIOD SERIES
First pictures from BBC's new TV adaptation of popular POLDARK novels are here giving us the first look of THE HOBBIT's Aidan Turner in costume! The eight part series will be set in 18th century 
Cornwall following the story of the rebellious Ross POLDARK as he returns from the American War of Independence to Cornwall, only to find that his old world is ruined: his father is dead, the family mine long 
since closed, his house wrecked and his sweetheart pledged to marry his cousin. But Ross finds that hope and love can be found when you are least expecting it in the wild but beautiful Cornish landscape.

I haven't read the Poldark novels, but it sounds like the series will be good.

DeleteDA VINCI'S DEMONS are the best epic show out there and the new season has been so outstanding in epicness... There is no other show with such level of production
oh and the score is nice too...

ReplyDeleteme too, first I was angry because the actor who played the vampire in the pilot episode, and was great in it, was replaced by Aidan, but as the show progressed Aidan bought me over too :)

my thought as well, most of the teens feel invisible (unless they're jocks or tarts) in High School at least sometime :)

ReplyDeleteAnyway, Poldark has promise and I'll certainly check that out.
I won't be around much for the next two weeks as I'll be out in the yard. I've still plants that need to be dug up and moved to fill bare spots and if I'm to have veggies they have to be in the ground by the 15th.
It does have a nice plot, dear, so we shall give it a go since those kids aren't fighting any demons or falling for vampires and such crap :)

DeleteII just hope they do a good job with the movie adaptation of Invisibility. Please not another Beautiful Creatures. A good movie that turns off the core fan base is never a good thing. Aiden's looking good in costume and it seems by the pics that these designers have done a great job. D. Demons is a wonderful show but I have too many shows already. Saw a few episodes over time so I know it deserves renewal.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed, I'm hoping this will be more in the line of FAULT IN OUR STARS, more heartwarming than dystopian. Here at HOLLYWOOD SPY we strongly disapprove of aggressive YA novels in which kids are shown as killers or fighters.
