LUKE EVANS SAYS 'THE CROW'
Speaking in a recent interview our favourite Welsh star Luke Evans (whom you're currently watching in HOBBIT THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG and will watch him in DRACULA UNTOLD epic this Autumn) has revealed that THE CROW remake, in which he plays the lead role, will actually be more of a new comic book adaptation than a remake of the classic Brandon Lee film. The new movie will stick closely to the comic book written by James O'Barr and will require lots of physical efforts from Luke Evans, which is why he underwent a special training for the role. To be directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, THE CROW will see Luke Evans playing rock musician Eric Draven who is murdered trying to rescue his girlfriend from thugs, and returns from the dead one year later to exact vengeance! There were rumours that THE WALKING DEAD's Norman Reedus is wanted for one of the roles in the film.

Last year we were all deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Paul Walker, but we knew that the projects he was supposed to do will have to find new actors, and 'Deadline' reports that two of the films which were supposed to have Paul in the lead roles have found replacements. James Marsden will apparently replace Walker in THE BEST OF ME movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks novel. He will join Michele Monaghan and the two of them will play two high schools sweethearts who got separated by unforeseen events only to be reunited 25 years later at the funeral of their old mentor who once gave shelter to their high school romance! Neither has lived the life OF ME' 
they imagined... and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever changed their lives.

The original movie, which earned $100 million around the world and was actually a big screen adaptation of a popular video game, had a story revolving around an assassin known only as Agent 47, who has a barcode tattooed at the back of his head. Rupert Friend is also known to you from HOMELAND TV series.

It's very spooky to me that Walker died the way he did, considering the movie he was in.

DeleteI usually use melted lekvar to glaze the top layer of my kiwi torte :) And the same goes when I use strawberries on top of a cake
There is this horrible stuff people glaze over strawberries, I don't know what the heck it is but GROSS. I do though, like the idea of using the lekvar.

we have some kind of seethrough instant glaze in powder here too, but I'd rather die than use it since it has gelatin and you know what they make gelatin from....

Deleteoh, dahlink, they boil cow's bones, horns, muscles, cartilage, tits, skin and other nasty things in water and what they scrape of the surface is gelatin :)
DeleteA different adaptation of The Crow is the only reason to do a remake. Makes more sense in this age of comic book hero movies why they're doing it now. I imagine we'll see more of these shirtless pics of Mr. Evans…:P

DeleteThe Crow was one of my favorite movies; I'm sure Luke will rock the role. I'm seeing Norman Redus as one of the higher thugs. He has that look about him.

DeleteIt's sad we won't be seeing Paul Walker in any of the future films and projects lined up for him. Nevertheless, they seem to have picked great actors. I particularly liked the way Rupert Friend portrayed his role in Homeland so I'm sure he'll make a good Agent 47. Would also love to see James Marsden in a new love story. The last one I've seen was that film with Katherine Heigl.

DeleteAs a huge Nicholas Sparks fan, I absolutely would have loved to see Paul Walker in The Best of Me. While I don't particularly find Marsden gorgeous, I do think he is a great actor and will fill the role nicely.

DeleteI have to agree, Marsden is not gorgeous. He's mildly attractive and I'm sure he'll do for the Sparks flick. I won't see it because you know I can't stand the master of cliche. :)
