  7. OK. First of all. ANOTHER remake? Is it really that difficult to come up with an original idea?

    OH well...

Now, 47 Ronin...hmmm...I saw the preview when I took the kids to Catching Fire. It could be really good. I'm just afraid, because Keanu may be pretty, but, well, he's not the best actor in the world, you know??

    1. Yep, I know... hopefully he will do more fflying and sword fighting than talking :)

      Delete
    2. That would be good! I can already hear his stupid voice in my head!

      Delete
    3. I wonder if he will have an Asian accent :)

      Delete
    4. From what I heard, he sounds just like Keanu always does. Surfer dude. There was not a lot of him talking though...hope for the movie, perhaps??

      Delete
    5. a surfer samurai... that will be the first one :)

      Delete
    6. He's such a dull actor and he never seems to "inhabit" the character.

      Delete
    7. He reminds me of Brad Pitt in that way, dear

  8. What an awesome contest!!! There are so many amazing movies I have yet to see starting with Dallas Buyers Club. I will probably pass on the remake of Naked Gun.

  9. I know Keanu takes a lot of flack, but I have to say 47 Ronin is looking absolutely amazing. I think it may change some people's minds about him as an actor.

The Naked Gun I'm not so sure about. It's such a classic, and I don't know that anybody can duplicate Leslie Nielsen's performance. I hope it works, because I'd love to see the series continue, but it's got some very high expectations to contend with.

    1. I also think RONIN looks absolutely brilliant! Visually!
I'm not interested in the remake either, but if anyone can pull it of it's Ed Helms

      Delete
    2. The Hubby just watched the original Naked Gun 2 nights ago and Bob is right, that role belongs to Leslie. It's like having someone other than Peter Sellers play Inspector Cleauso.

      Delete
    3. Didn't Steve Martin play Cleauso in the recent remake? :)

      Delete
  10. Don't get... Naked! I am looking forward to Ronin 47, I like Reeves... he just a guy who happens to act, though the press whores... will relate this to The Matrix films. It will crash because of that, for me it looks awesome!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It might crash because it hasn't had much of marketing so far... kinda like POMPEII too :( I hate when epic movies crash because they weren't advertized enough

  11. Keanue Reeves, just shoot me darling. And Naked Gun doesn't need a remake either.

A very generous give away from you sweetykins. I'll shall post a link in my blog tomorrow.

  13. The story of the 47 Ronin is THE MOST well known Japanese story of all time. I hope they embrace it over here in the States.

    It's going to be awesome!

    1. Hope they do, since it premiered over in Japan already and it hasn't been an overly huge success :(

      Delete
    2. It's due to that horrid Keanu creature darling. The Japanese are far too sophisticated for a dolt like him :)

      Delete
    3. I think so too, and who wouldn't be slightly offended when Hollywood makes a film based on your national legend and puts American actor in the lead role?

  14. Is this my old friend Dezz's famous Hollywood Spy site? It must be because the red carpet is out, the drinks are flowing and the penguins are at the door. I've been away so long the poor little guys almost didn't recognize me. Sorry I disappeared on you. I promise it won't happen again.

47 Ronin looks fantastic, I can't believe they are remaking the Naked gun movies, blech. I do love your contest, it sounds exciting.
