'THE IMMIGRANT' PERIOD DRAMA TRAILER WITH MARION COTILLARD, JOAQUIN PHOENIX, JEREMY RENNER! TRAVIS FIMMEL FOR 'WARCRAFT' EPIC MOVIE? MERYL STREEP, MILLA JOVOVICH, CAMERON DIAZ ARE 'EXPENDABELLES'

TRAVIS FIMMEL IN
WARCRAFT MOVIE ADAPTATION?
One of the exciting pieces of news this weekend came from 'Variety' which revealed that VIKINGS show star Travis Fimmel has become the main candidate for the lead role in WARCRAFT movie adaptation! The project will have four main characters, and Anson Mount and Anton Yelchin, alongside Colin Farrell have also been mentioned for the roles. Scheduled for December 2015 the adaptation of the famous video game with a rich fantasy setting that revolves around the epic conflict between the opposing forces of the Horde and the Alliance in a medieval like world filled with gryphons, dragons, zombies, werewolves and elves!

FEMALE 'EXPENDABELLES'
TO HAVE MERYL STREEP, CAMERON DIAZ, MILLA JOVOVICH
Well, we have already seen the revival of old forgotten action stars in EXPENDABLES franchise which has had Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean Claude Van Dame, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jackie Chan, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and others in the cast, and now producer Avi Lerner is moving on with the same thing but with female action heroines! Titled EXPENDABELLES, the film would see female action stars from the previous decades coming back from retirement for one last mission. According to first rumours, Lerner is negotiating with Meryl Streep, Milla Jovovich and Cameron Diaz to join this cast. While EXPENDABLES III should hit cinemas next August, EXPENDABELLES would start shooting some time early next year in Bulgaria. Other action ladies who could join the fun might include Linda Hamilton, Gina Davis, Michelle Yeoh, Sigourney Weaver!

  1. Happy to see Travis Fimmel in something new. I've enjoyed watching him in Vikings. And The Immigrant looks fantastic. Good drama in that one. :))

    1. they've released the trailer for the second season some time ago, hope you've seen it, I haven't posted it because I decided not to cover VIKINGS, GAME OF THRONES any more....
I liked the trailer for THE IMMIGRANTS too, not all of the cast, but the trailer yes :)

  4. Wonder if all those notches on Milla's belts signify anything special????

  5. EXPENDABELLES sounds interesting, but with the exception of Milla Jovovich, I wouldn't really consider them 'classic' action heroines. Now, get Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver involved, and round out the cast with the likes of Angelina Jolie and maybe Pam Grier, and you just might have a workable concept.

    3. I don't really know. I haven't played it or really know much of it. Not many movies based on games have been ...awesome.

    2. Well, darn! If the show sucks, it doesn't matter how much pretty is in it. I need a good storyline more than eye candy to hold my attention!

    3. it's violent show which glorifies Vikings who went around Europe butchering people. This is why I stopped watching it - they portray Vikings as brave heroes while they kill, pillage and rape on foreign shores.

  12. I've gotta love the "Expendabelles" flick for its title alone.

"The Immigrants" sounds good, if a little heartbreaking, but... guess what? My hubby and I actually went to the movies the other day! First time in fifteen or twenty years, and once we recovered from sticker shock over the ticket prices, we enjoyed ourselves. We saw "Gravity"... in 3-D. I guess we're good now until about 2033 or so...
