  'I, FRANKENSTEIN' TRAILER
AARON ECKHART, MIRANDA OTTO, BILL NIGHY, JAI COURTNEY
Well, continuing the week of theme days, we're having a Monster Saturday at HOLLYWOOD SPY today! Two monster trailers, beginning with the first rather spectacular clip for I, FRANKENSTEIN which brings good old Frankie to the big screens this January following an unlikely hero who comes to the aid humankind as a race of supernatural creatures look to take over Earth. The story centres on Adam Frankenstein (Aaron Eckhart), the creation of Dr. Frankenstein who is still alive centuries after his "birth." Adam is hunted down by a clan of demons who want to learn Adam's secret in order to reanimate deceased demons to start a new army.  Bill Nighy plays a demon prince, with Socratis Otto playing the prince's right hand man, who goes after Adam. Television star Yvonne Strahovski is Terra, the female lead a scientist who is working on reanimating the dead, with LORD OF THE RINGS star Miranda Otto playing the queen of the gargoyles who wants to help Frankenstein. SPARTACUS star Jai Courtney will be Gideon, leader of the Gargoyle army.

FRANKIE TIDBITS

The film, which was shot over in Australia, and is produced by the UNDERWORLD producers is actually an adaptation of a graphic novel.  Both Aaron Eckhart and Miranda Otto practised martial arts for three months for this movie. Bill Nighy loves playing evil demons, since in UNDERWORLD he already played a Vampire king!

 THE MONSTER UNLEASHED!
The second monster trailer is the first one for the new reboot of GODZILLA which should swing her nasty tail in cinemas next May starring Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe...The first teaser trailers shows a destroyed city and offers a look on the very angry monster looking hundred times bigger than we've ever seen it before!

  2. I had higher hopes for I, FRANKENSTEIN. Alas, it looks a little too VAN HELSING for me. GODZILLA looks good, but we'll see if they screw this one up, too.

  3. With the Gojira katakana text, I thought this may have been a Japanese movie, but I'm rather surprised to see them try an American produced Godzilla again.

  8. Lots of CGI in Frankenstein. I was beginning to wonder if it wasn't all animated, like the video games. Looks really well done though.

  9. I'm not sure I'll be rushing out to see either of these movies. I'm not saying I won't see them, because I will, but I'll wait until one of my daughters sees them and watch her DVDs. Her and her husband see almost every movie and then buy the DVD later. I hope they never get divorced because she might loose custody of the movies!
