'THE RAILWAY MAN' TRAILER WITH COLIN FIRTH, NICOLE KIDMAN, JEREMY IRVING! JASON SUDEIKIS, KIRSTEN DUNST 'SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE'! GRANT GUSTIN, MATT BARR ARE FLASH IN 'ARROW'? 'DOROTHY MUST DIE' NEW FANTASY SHOW! REEVE CARNEY IS DORIAN GREY, HARRY TREADAWAY FRANKENSTEIN IN 'PENNY DREADFUL'

JASON SUDEIKIS, KIRSTEN DUNST
'SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE'
Deadline reports that one of the most charming comedians, Jason Sudeikis has a new role ahead of him: he will join Kirsten Dunst in SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE playing a good-natured womanizer who befriends a remorseful serial cheater (Dunst). Their platonic relationship reforms their chronic infidelity but sparks an inconvenient romantic attraction to each other. You have already heard that after this summers hit WE'RE THE MILLERS, Sudeikis is also set to reprise his role in comedy sequel HORRIBLE BOSSES 2!

WHO'S THE FLASH IN 'ARROW'?
GRANT GUSTIN OR MATT BARR?
In today's television news, rumours have started circling around who could be the actors playing The Flash in the second season of ARROW. As you know, The Flash will appear in a few episodes and will possibly get his own show later on. Rumour has it that young Matt Barr (GOSSIP GIRL, ONE TREE HILL) and James Mackay are currently in the run for the role. The third candidate to play the superfast hero is GLEE's Grant Gustin!

DOROTHY MUST DIE SERIES
And in the sea of projects connected to Wizard of Oz, here's the latest one: Tim Kring, HEROES creator, will produce DOROTHY MUST DIE a fantasy show which would see Dorothy as a tyrannical dictator who rules over Oz with her henchmen, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. In this new version another young woman from Kansas is soon transported to Oz and finds herself pitted against Dorothy.
REEVE CARNEY, HARRY TREADAWAY JOIN 'PENNY DREADFUL'
Meanwhile, the casting continues for PENNY DREADFUL as well. Joining Timothy Dalton, Eva Green and Josh Hartnett in the 19th century horror series is Harry Treadaway (THE LONE RANGER) who will play Victor Frankenstein, while Reeve Carney will be supernaturally handsome Dorian Grey! Produced by JAMES BOND's Sam Mendes, the Showtime series will follow famous horror characters in Victorian London.

'THE RAILWAY MAN' TRAILER
 COLIN FIRTH, NICOLE KIDMAN
Last week I gave you the first pictures from upcoming drama THE RAILWAY MAN and now here is the first trailer! To open in UK January next year,  it will have Colin Firth playing Eric Lomax who was one of thousands of Allied prisoners of war forced to work on the construction of the Thai/Burma railway during WW2. His experiences, after the secret radio he built to bring news and hope to his colleagues was discovered, left him traumatised and shut off from the world. Years later, he met Patti (Nicole Kidman), a beautiful woman, on a train and fell in love. Patti was determined to rid Eric of his demons. Discovering that the young Japanese officer who haunted her husband was still alive, she faced a terrible decision. Should Eric be given a chance to confront his tormentor? Would she stand by him, whatever he did?Jeremy Irvine plays the young Lomax.

    1. he will apparently appear in three episodes this season, and if he's good he will get his own spinoff series :) But I don't think they will ever beat the old THE FLASH show with John Wesley Ship!

  4. "The Railway Man" looks sooooooooo intense. The kind of role that only an actor of Colin Firth's caliber could play. Looking forward to seeing it and yet dreading it all at the same time.

  9. Yeah. I've always been a fan of Colin Firth. This looks great. And what a twist on Ox.

  10. Even though I am a huge OZ fan, I do love the twist on this one. After all, Dorothy did steal the witch's family jewel shoes after killing her sister. I don't think Dorothy was such a saint after all.

  12. Penny Dreadful is the one for me. The history of those serial stories is actually important although the stories were sometimes lurid and bloody. I wonder if Sweeney Todd will make an appearance. Is it true that they are filming much of this in Dublin?

    1. they're filming pretty much all new epic shows up in the Eire, dear! it's either Dublin or Belgrade, these days :) If you and me set up shops in our capitols, we could rule the business of showbusiness
      .....

    2. I wouldn't live in Dublin if you paid me. They look down on people like me. Because we're poor and our accents are heavy, they treat us like we're thick as planks. Even with my education they're all automatically my superior :(

    3. that's the situation in every capitol city, dear, they always look upon people from provinces like that.

  14. Smallville originated after WB didn't want a show based on Bruce Wayne/Batman. I'm surprised Green Arrow got his own show. He's not the most well known DC hero.
