EMIR KUSTURICA'S 'ON THE MILKY ROAD' WAR DRAMA
Over in Serbia, famous Serbian movie director, and two times Cannes Festival winner, Emir Kusturica, is currently shooting his new drama ON THE MILKY ROAD (also known as LOVE AND WAR) with Monica Bellucci in the lead role. The second is about a woman who gives him the milk, and the third is about the ex-soldier (who became a monk after she was killed with all other guest at her wedding) who, when he finishes all daily duties, climbs up the cliff with a bucket of rocks to empty it. The movie will premiere next year at the Cannes Film Festival!

FRAN DRESCHER 'HAPPILY DIVORCED' CANCELLED
Sad news come over from TV LAND where they decided, shocking the numerous fans around the world, to cancell Fran Drescher's hit sitcom HAPPILY DIVORCED! Shot in two very successful and much loved seasons, the sitcom was based on Drescher's own life, centring around a florist named Fran (Drescher) who starts dating again after discovering that her husband (John Michael Higgins) is gay and divorcing him - although the pair decide to keep living under the same roof.

'TRACKS' CLIP WITH
 MIA WASIKOWSKA AND CAMELS
Your trailer for today is the first clip from unusual drama TRACKS which premiered at Veniece Film Festival and is directed by John Curran. The story of the movie is based on the memoirs of Robyn Davidson and depicts her 1700 miles journey through the Australian desert with camels and a dog. She takes the trip to put her life back together after her husband leaves her and her mother dies. Mia Wasikowska plays Robyn Davidson while Adam Driver plays the National Geographic photographer, who accompanied her on her long journey.

  1. Sad to hear about Fran Drescher. She did a good voice over in Hotel Transylvania, maybe she could do more.

    1. she always has great sitcoms, delightful nonoffensive, not stupid ones like most others, and yet they get cancelled even though they have audience around the world. Her previous sitcom LIVING WITH FRAN was also lovely.

  2. So sucks that they canceled Fran's show. Loved it. I laughed out loud and enjoyed the actors. Cannot understand why it's gone.

    Totally bummed.

    1. I hear they always do that at TV Land, kill the good ones, save the bad ones... They're cleaning some space for Kirstie Alley's new sitcom, but everybody says they should've killed SOUL MAN, not HAPPILY DIVORCED.

  3. I have never seen Fran's show, but it always makes me wonder why they pull a good show that has a decent following. 2 seasons in and I'm sure it could have pulled in more viewers as time went on. I don't think I'll be watching Kirstie Alley's new show. For some reason, that woman irritates me to no end!

    1. yep, especially since Fran is popular all over the world and her sitcom was sold in many countries. Most countries around the world prefer the kind of warm, family, nonoffensive humour as in her sitcom or in Tim Allan's shows...

  4. WOW, I can't believe people would actually tune in to watch anything with Fran. I would rather poke a stick in my eye than watch the annoying Fran. Plus, you need an extra strength pair of ear plugs to drown out her offensive voice and laugh.

    1. oh, puhlease, Debs :P Fran is such a delightful woman, and not just as an actress. She is ageing so gracefully and most ladies respect her for being a role model in that aspect.

  6. On the Milky Road sounds like a deeply moving film. Monica is quite a beauty and that outfit is gorgeous. Best wishes on a win at Cannes for this one!

    1. yep, it will be visually stunning as well, last week they shot a scene at one of our mountains in which she runs over the hills in a wedding gown, dives into a lake and then turns into a butterfly :)

  8. Maybe Westword will be a HUGE hit, and Abrams can be persuaded to keep his hands off Star Wars. Yeah, probably not, but we can dream. :)

Now Tracks looks really interesting. Can't wait to hear more about that one.

    1. I really don't know why he gets all the sf projects.... I didn't like what he did with this year's STAR TREK :( Ruined it with boring story and focusing on Cucumberpatch instead on the crew :(

  18. Fantasy Island in the west-world setting. Hmm, I liked the movie, but I find I rarely like an entire series made from one movie. Or a book.

I became a Yule Brenner fan with that movie.

    ......dhole
