'KING TUT' EPIC MINI SERIES
ON ANCIENT EGYPTIAN RULER
While we haven't heard anything new on NBC's plans to shot CLEOPATRA series, 'Deadline' reports that Spike TV is preparing a scripted mini series on KING TUT! Tutankhamun, or King Tut (1333 to 1323 BC), was the youngest Pharaoh to rule Ancient Egypt. The six part series explores the drama of power, political backstabbing, war and murder and chronicles King Tut’s rise to glory, his efforts to rule a chaotic empire and the enigma surrounding his death. A young Tut is thrust into power after the murder of his father. The neophyte ruler is forced to marry his sister in order to maintain the dynasty. Although Tut rules as Pharaoh, he is controlled like a puppet by three formidable men who plot against him and vie for the throne themselves. Against all odds, Tut grows from an insecure and manipulated prince to a hero on the battlefield, leading his kingdom into war and victory.
Matt Bomer-woot woot!! The movie sounds good, but you know, Matt Bomer nom nom nom.
ReplyDeleteThe WWII flick with Pitt, no, just no. Pitt makes me ill. How could anyone breed with that horrid Angelina. I always knew something was dreadfully wrong with him.
My blog today hasn't updated even after almost 10 hours. I'm in despair!
and it is interesting how much he actually resembles the young Clift! Of course, Matt is perdier, but still :)

Did you try to change anything in it, just a letter and so, and then save it and publish it? Try that, dear. Or, even better, go and edit the date, give it the current hour and minute and then publish it

DeleteJoking, aside, I think these things will resolve themselves in time, but I really do recommend you to put up a question over at that help forum. They have people who answer.
PS last week for a few days, for example, Blogger wouldn't show my little avatar, and I didn't have a pic when commenting, but the problem disappeared on itself a few days later
DeleteYou had me excited about King Tut . . . until I saw that it was being done by Spike TV. Somehow, I don't see the network that gave us such (ahem) gems as Auction Hunters, Bar Rescue, and 1000 Ways to Die doing a historical epic any sort of justice.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked by it being done by Spike too :) but so many small channels are currently venturing into mini series business.... even the ones like Discovery, E! and History Channel, which never had scripted shows before.

DeleteMontgomery Clift didn't "refuse to put his private life on display," he lived in oppressively homophobic times when being openly gay was not allowed, especially for a movie star. He was forced to lead a sad and closeted life.

he doesn't bother me much either, although I don't think he is a big actor. He is average at his best.

DeleteLogan Lerman is a self-hating Jew who consistently whitewashes his own grandfather’s history as a Holocaust refugee, in interviews. So Lerman shouldn’t be starring in a movie about fighting Nazis.
