"12 YEARS A SLAVE" TRAILER WITH MICHAEL FASSBENDER, BRAD PITT, BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, CHIWETEL EJIOFOR! JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT WANTED FOR "DR STRANGE"! NEW PICS FROM "BLACK SAILS" EPIC SHOW

  JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT
 IS DOCTOR STRANGE?
In superhero news todays, if you're a fan of those, the hot gossip is that Marvel wants Joseph Gordon Levitt for the lead role in DR STRANGE which should arrive to theatres (with ANT-MAN) in 2016 or 2017 after THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA sequels finish their cinematic life. There are some rumours that DR STRANGE could first make a cameo in THOR 2 THE DARK WORLD. Doctor Strange is a former neurosurgeon, a sorcerer, and serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Joseph Gordon Levitt often appears in these rumours surrounding superhero movies, and was one of the candidates for Star-lord role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY which, thankfully, later on went to Chris Pratt!

  12 YEARS A SLAVE TRAILER
MICHAEL FASSBENDER, BRAD PITT, BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH
Our trailer for today comes from historical drama which opens up in theatres this October: 12 YEARS A SLAVE is based on an incredible true story of one man's fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner, portrayed by Michael Fassbender) as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon's chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt) forever alters his life. As you can see in the trailer Michael Fassbender gives another marvellous performance as the villain in the film and it will be interesting to see if the Academy will look him over for who knows which time again. Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano and Scoot McNairy are also in the cast!

  BLACK SAILS EPIC SHOW
 BRAND NEW PICTURES
New pictures have been released for STARZ new epic adventure BLACK SAILS, a show which will replace SPARTACUS next January in the programme. The dynamic and hot new show will be set 20 years before the events in Robert Louis Stevenson’s "Treasure Island", chronicling the adventures of fabled buccaneer Captain Flint! Toby Stephens plays Captain Flint, while MERLIN's Tom Hopper will play Billy Bones, the first mate of The Walrus who is caught in the middle of the power struggle between Flint and his main dissenter Singleton (Zach Maguire)! Threatened with extinction on all sides,  the pirates fight for the survival of New Providence Island, the most notorious criminal haven of its day – a debauched paradise teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers, a place defined by both its enlightened ideals and its stunning brutality. Jessica Parker Kennedy will play a beautiful and capable French prostitute named  Max. Gorgeous Hannah New will play Eleanor, the beautiful, courageous and determined owner of a rowdy Open Nassau saloon who wields considerable influence in her dual roles as fence/ supplier and party hostess! Luke Arnold plays John Silver, a fast talking member of Flint's crew.

    1. they've decided to make Strange in his thirties in the film, so Joseph fits the age here, but I'd love someone more elegant for the role, like Matthew Goode, Lee Pace...

  4. They got to get someone in their 40-50s to play Strange

    1. nope, Strange will be around 35 in the movie, and Joseph is 32 :)

  5. I've always pictured Dr. Strange as significantly older. Levitt might be able to pull it off, depending on how well he rocks the mustached scowl.

  10. Love the look of both of these projects. It should be terrific to see Fass My Benders in a villainous role.

  11. Yeah, I'll definitely be watching out for Twelve Years A Slave. And Fassbender will be awarded for his talents one of these days . He's too good for them to ignore forever. :)

    1. there were so many of his outstanding roles that were missed out by the Academy. Not to mention that the very same Academy also keeps missing out on Ewan, Jude and many other genuine talents, while people who constantly play themselves (Tom Hanks for example) keep getting awards constantly.

  12. Lots of good stuff going on. I'm looking forward to Black Sails and White Queen. JGL as Dr. Strange? Yes please. I have a special soft part in my heart for anything JGL is in (although I didn't like Looper).

I don't know if I'll watch the slave drama. There's been so many of them. I think my favorite is "The Color Purple." But I may give it a try.

    1. give it a chance, after all it has Fass My Benders as a naughty master with a whip :) Use your imagination :P

I'm looking forward to BLACK SAILS and to DRACULA in the new season!

    2. Yeah but if Fassbender is a true villain and is beating some poor man then that's gonna be a real turn off.

Is there a reason why you refer to JGL as Jonathan in the title and not Joseph?

    3. 'tis true :( We shall try to remember him for his dangling bits in SHAMELESS instead :)
'tis a slip, I did mention him as Joseph in the post and the head title, will change it :)

  13. I love it when people post the trailers for me and I don't have to go looking for them. 12 Years A Slave looks really good, as does Black Sails. Love me some pirates. Aaandd, as much as I love JGL, he seems all wrong for that role...just sayin'.
