HOLLYWOOD SPY'S EXCLUSIVE SPOTLIGHT ON "WARM BODIES" WITH NICHOLAS HOULT, TERESA PALMER, DAVE FRANCO, JOHN MALKOVICH

I have told you recently that if you are hoping to see some romantic movies this February you are out of luck, since for some reason,
this year the month of love will be filled with extreme action flicks and horrors. But here's one that mixes all of that - action, horror, comedy and romance - WARM BODIES, a film which opens up in cinemas February 1st bringing a new twist to the zombie mythology. The film will try to show what happens when zombies fall in love, do they lust only for our brains, or for our hearts as well: after a zombie becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims, their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.

WARM BODIES STORY
The story of WARM BODIES revolves around a boy named R (Nicholas Hoult) who is a zombie. After a zombie apocalypse, he shambles across an America filled with collapsed buildings, rusted cars, shattered windows, and abandoned high-rises. He can only grunt or moan and craves human brains to get high on their memories. After eating the brains of a teenage boy, R is overcome with love for the teen's companion, Julie Grigio (Teresa Palmer). R rescues Julie from his zombie pack and
takes her back to his lair, an airplane at an airport that serves as home for R. As R and Julie form a special relationship, R becomes increasingly more human - setting off an exciting and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies. Julie eventually leaves the airplane, and R follows her back to Citi Field in Queens, New York, the largest remaining human refuge. At the refuge, the zombies and humans clash.
WARM BODIES TIDBITS
The story is losely based on ROMEO AND JULIET which is why the character names are R-Romeo, Julie - Juliet, Perry - Paris, Marcus - Mercutio.... The cast also includes Dave Franco as Perry Kelvin, John Malkovich as General Grigio, Rob Corddry as M... This is actually a movie adaptation of WARM BODIES bestselling book by Isaac Marion who announced earlier this winter that he is working on a sequel to his novel. The zombies can barely talk in the film, so extensive voice-over will be used to express their thoughts!

WARM BODIES STARS
Charming Nicholas Hoult has changed quite a bit  since the world fell in love with him when, back as a little kid, he starred in ABOUT A BOY next to Hugh Grant
He later on scored action roles in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and CLASH OF THE TITANS. Later this year you will watch him as JACK THE GIANT SLAYER and next year in MAD MAX FURY ROAD and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Gorgeous Teresa Palmer was also supposed to star in MAD MAX FURY ROAD before Charlize Theron took the role of Furiosa. You will see her this year in KNIGHT OF CUPS next to Cate Blanchett and Christian Bale, and in 2014 in PARTS PER BILLION love story. Meanwhile, James' younger brother Dave Franco will be seen this year in NOW YOU SEE ME magician heist film next to Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. John Malkovich is filming RED 2 sequel with Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta Jones, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren and David Thewlis about retired spies who come back to action.

  3. I saw another trailer for this in the theater the other day and I still can't seem to find an interest in it. I do think it's amusing that it's loosely based off of Romeo and Juliet though.

  5. This movie looks hilarious. I like that it's not trying to be a serious zombie movie. I'll go see it! I had no idea of the R+J connection. Interesting!

  9. I'm sorry, but no, no, no. Zombies are mindless flesh eaters and the very thought of making them romantic characters is something only a dreadful Twilight-like YA writer could have conceived of. I'm never going to watch this, I just can't stomach it. :)
