ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, SAM WORTHINGTON, JOE MANGANIELLO IN "BREACHER"! BEN AFFLECK TO HELM "JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA"? DISTURBING TRAILER FOR "ANTIVIRAL"! DONALD FAISON IS DR. GRAVITY IN "KICK ASS 2"

Well. I'm certainly not interested in the film itself, but the cast is rather interesting: action film BREACHER in which the story centres on a corrupt team of DEA agents who rob a Mexican drug cartel's safe house, under the guise of a routine raid. The agents think they are in the
clear, but then the team start getting killed off, one by one. Lead by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the cast also includes two hunks Sam Worthington and Joe Manganiello and one beauty Malin Akerman. The film should hit cinemas some time next year.

SUPERHERO HEADLINES
In superhero news today, first there's an update from "MovieWeb" about Ben Affleck being offered the director's seat in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA. Just like Marvel's AVENGERS which
teamed up Captain America, Thor, Hulk and others, DC's film will gather together some of their superheroes such as Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash, who all present a much stronger team from the one at Marvel. "MovieWeb" also reminds that Affleck has a policy of helming the films in which he also stars in, which means he might take one of the superhero roles for himself. Meanwhile, SCRUBS star Donald Faison is in talks to take a role in KICK ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL. He might join Aaron Johnson as Dr. Gravity who claims to be a physics professor who invented the "Gravity Pole," a device which can make something 20 times its actual weight, but it's actually just a baseball bat covered in tinfoil.

ANTIVIRAL TRAILER
Today's trailer is the first clip for a very strange film ANTIVIRAL directed by David Cronenberg's son Brandon. Young X-MEN:
FIRST CLASS star Caleb Landry Jones stars as Syd March, a man who becomes infected with the same virus that killed the famed celebrity Hannah Geist (Sarah Gadon). He must unravel the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death before he becomes another victim himself. The film is apparently set in a futuristic society in which celebrity illnesses are being sold to their happy fans. Malcolm McDowell is also in the cast. The trailer is extremely disturbing at moments, but it does deal with today's world's sometimes sick obsession with celebrities.

  2. First, thank you for that wonderful picture of the ever talented Joe Manganiello. I love him in True Blood but really want to see him branch out into to other things as well, I think he has the ability to so much more - dare I say some romance??

BTW - I have some garments similar to Malin's but that's between you and I...

I wasn't a big fan of Kick Ass. I know, I know, you're probably surprised but allowing that girl to use the language she did...it just didn't sit well with me. Me, the loud mouth NYer who curses like a trucker, go figure, but I"m an adult.

Antiviral was a bit disturbing for me. I can't believe I'm saying that! Normally, I'd love that kind of thing. Maybe it's the Migraine and I'll have to check it out tomorrow....hmmm.

    =)

    1. just like with Ryan Reynolds, sister, I have a stash of Manganiello nakedness too :) I'd love to see him in a lovely romcom! Love it.

I've always loved that pic of Malin, and this is probably the third I'm posting it :) My boys love it.

I didn't like nor support KICK ASS for the same reasons, ELsie, you know my policy on that.

    2. You've kept Ms. Elsie in ab heaven these past two days darling. But you've put something up today for the men to look at as well. I know I'm not savvy because I've never even heard of Kick Ass.

    3. I had to give my boys some Malin, Annzie, hope I will get the chance to give them something more next week...

    4. I figured you'd agree, Dezzy. Kick Ass was terrible, aside from Cage's poor acting.

I'd love me a peek into that hard drive of yours =PPP

    5. oh, Elsie, what can I tell you, that drive is really hard :) So ,hard that I had to erase it three times when I was selling my old computer so that nobody would get the treasure hidden in it LOL

  4. Antiviral looks twisted and yet, intriguing. I'll probably see it.

Now i could do with a lot more Joe Manganiello nakedness and near nakedness. He's just so brutally hot. Yee Ow!!

  5. Antiviral will be I think the topic of the day when it comes out. Certainly sick and disturbing and as sick and disturbing as the sorry, sad lives of people who are obsessed with celebrity. I tell you darling I can't bear all the media hype about celebrities these days. It's so unhealthy for our young people and I have to wonder why the parents are allowing their kids to become obsessed with horrid telly shows about celebs. Not to mention the print journalism. Won't allow it in my home.

Now that said if the movie can make some people look in a mirror and see themselves, maybe it's a good thing.

    1. especially when they get obsessed, like seriously obsessed, with stupid TWILIGHT stars and such undeserving idiots instead of getting young scientists and geniuses as role models.

    2. @ Anne - same here! When Peanut goes to grab for one of those celeb trashy mags while we're on line at the store, I'm like "are you crazy, put that nonsense back! Most of those people have no morals and have that stuff is just not true!"

    3. I sometimes buy those cheap celeb tabloids on Sundays, since Sunday is my "let your mind go blind day" :) but I usually puke after reading most of the stories so I stick only to beach photos of the celebs LOL

it looks strange but it's a kind of movie which could be a good one, I don't why!
(for me the atmosphere is strangely like "Gattaca", don't know why too!)

"Kick Ass 2" ? a good new! I hope that it will another "good Kick Ass" !

  9. Love me some Joe Manganiello! Glad to see him getting more and more roles!

I'm kind of hoping Ben doesn't cast himself in one of the Super Hero roles. But I hope the movie is awesome!

Also, Malcolm McDowell is a rock star.

  14. Ben Affleck might be able to direct, but he can't act. I hope he doesn't self insert himself into a JLA movie...

  15. Antiviral looks intriguing. I love the premise but not sure about the director. Haven't seen anything by Brandon Cronenberg - if his father was directing I'd be excited, but who knows what Brandon will produce. Hopefully, and it certainly looks that way, it'll be in keeping with his father's approach.

  17. What! - no pic of the big man - Arnold...(sad face)...he's from the old country and I always get a chuckle watching him "work". (it's all in the accent...hahaha)

Thought I'd drop in and say "Hello" or "Guten Tag, wie geht's?"
