HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Since I know how much
you lurve remakes :), here's a new one:according to "Variety" Joseph Gordon Levitt might star in the remake of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS playing Seymour Kilborn, a meek florist who must continue to feed his gigantic plant, which feasts on humans, to secure his newfound fame and fortune. Also according to "Variety" we shall watch a new sf thriller in the future. Titled SELFLESS it will follow a wealthy older man, who discovers he is dying and pays to have his mind transplanted into a younger man's body. When he discovers how his new body was acquired, he defies the company that provided it and is hunted by mercenaries.
And if like your spy you love heartwarming animal tales similar to FREE
WILLY, DOLPHIN TALE and BIG MIRACLE, you will be glad to hear that we
shall have a new Arctic adventure MIDNIGHT SUN! Directed by Hugh Hudson
(CHARIOTS OF FIRE) it will follow a young boy, Luke, who defies the
dangerous elements of nature to reunite
an abandoned polar bear cub with
its mother. Luke is aided by Muktuk, a half Inuit and half Canadian,
who knows the terrain where polar bears live like the back of his hand.
But they are soon separated on the floating ice of the high Arctic, and
Luke and the cub are left to protect themselves from bear attacks, giant
icebergs, and vicious windstorms.
I'm really excited about the prospect of a Little Shop of Horrors remake. I loved the Frank Oz musical, so this should be pretty cool. What are the odds they'll cast Zooey Deschanel as Audrey?

DeleteI have never watched the first little shop of horrors or second? Wasn't there already a remake? But either way remakes suck, they can shove em.
ReplyDeleteThe polar bear one I'm sure will be good, always like animal flicks, when they aren't some cgi bs making their mouthes move and such. Tarzan huh, what this? The 56th time Tarzan has been done?..lol..Selfless doesn't sound too bad, kind of like the 6th day meets Face/off.
I've never seen the original either.

ReplyDeleteI probably won't watch Tarzan unless it comes out on HBO. As hot as he is, the story doesn't interest me in the least.
Now the polar bears, that sounds simply adorable! I mean, just look at the picture!!! How cute!

I hear cat didn't spare us at all. What kind of ebil feline attacks people when they're hanging on a cliff??? Thank god, I left Elsie and Jaxy and LG in charge of the Alliance so they gave him a few punches.

Elsie was good on the attack against that horrible cat. Jax is one of his minions now darling. She's openly asked to be a General in his army of poo. He told her she couldn't be a General, just a minion, so I think we should be nice to her. It's not her fault he's a monster.

Deleteperformance-capture 3D... that is bad news. Well, I'm sure it won't be as bad as THIS Tarzan. Till this very day I don't understand why anyone raised by animals should develop a sense of fashion and wear improvised shorts. My goodness, I remember seeing that movie at our local theater... It was terrible. Bo was fine, though.

DeleteI've seen the Tarzan version with lovely Casper van Diem too, he's a husband of a daughter of the Serbian princess Elizabeth.

Delete"Feed me, Seymour!" LSH was a great musical. Jack Nicholson was in the original playing a masochistic dentist. How awesome that JGL will be in it.

DeleteI love the animal films but I find them difficult to watch. They are just too sad, and make me angry at the state the world is in. But, I'll watch Levitt.
