"THIS MEANS WAR" TRAILER WITH CHRIS PINE, TOM HARDY & REESE WITHERSPOON! GERARD BUTLER & SAM WORTHINGTON IN "HUNTER KILLER"! "SCORPION KING III: BATTLE FOR REDEMPTION"!

 Will Gerard Butler turn to dramatic roles, after receiving high praise for his roles in THE MACHINE GUN PREACHER and CORIOLANUS? Probably not, at least not according to "Variety"
which reports that he is in negotiations to star in Antoine Fuqua's HUNTER KILLER. Based on the novel "Firing Point" by George Wallace and Don Keith, the story follows an untested submarine captain who must work with a Navy SEAL team to rescue Russia's president, who's taken prisoner during a military coup. The two sides team to stop a rogue Russian general from igniting World War III. Butler would play the captain, while Sam Worthington is rumored for the role of the Navy SEAL team leader.

Now an assassin for hire, he must defend a kingdom from an evil tyrant and his ghost warriors for the chance to regain the power and glory he once knew.

Your video treat for the end of the week is the first trailer for THIS MEANS WAR which should hit theaters next February. The story in this rather silly and brutal action comedy revolves around the world’s deadliest CIA operatives (Tom Hardy and Chris Pine) who are inseparable partners and best friends until they fall for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). Having once helped bring
down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever - each other. Although the lead trio seems charming and super fun, we shall have to wait and see how the movie will turn out, since it is directed by always awful McG (CHARLIE'S ANGELS, TERMINATOR SALVATION) and written by the writer of equally awful MR. AND MRS. SMITH.

    Dezzy - Sam Worthington is soooo beautiful. And the trailer does look silly, but I'm sure I'll watch it at some point. LOL

    Geez I'd rather watch the Mummy 3 than another Scorpion King movie. And McG hahaha that's almost, or just as bad, as Ratner. I don't hold out much hope.

    Reese, Tom and Chris make a very intriguing trio in This Means War. I think I'd like to see it.

    Does gerald want to be known for only action role and rom-coms?

    And to be honest the action in This means war is the only reason i would watch it. Exept for the action, it doesn't seem all that different from the typical bland hollywood rom-com

    This Means War sounds good, Hunter Killer sounds like a good Tom Clancy book (but not movie) but The Scorpion King 3 (people must have had tax bills to pay or their mum needed a bigger house).

    The only reason I would see SCORPION KING 3 is because of Ron Perlman. I remember having high hopes for Billy Zane back in THE PHANTOM days, but he really kind of disappeared from the mainstream after TITANIC.

    THIS MEANS WAR ... yeah, I'd see that.

    This Means War is just ridiculous, oh man what in the world are Pine & Hardy doing in this crapfest?? Reese should go back to acting.

    As for Hunter Killer, I quite like the premise though I wish there's a bit of romance going on but it's in a submarine so probably not :( I like Worthington and of course Gerry Berry is my fave so seeing both of them together on screen sounds like a great idea :D

    Ron plays the Egyptian king in the film :) which is hilarious by itself :) It's true about Zane, he actually became a star of DVD market, he has tones of insignificant TV or Dvd films in which he plays the lead role. I've recently watched him in some deserted island film in which he plays a psycho

    Not feeling THIS MEANS WAR. Looks stupid. I'm sure the studio thinks it'll capture the chick romance-hunting and guy-action crowd but it sems like it's trying to please everyone and will end up pleasing no one but the easily pleased, of which there are billions I guess.
