Katherine Heigl has just replaced
Halle Berry in the star studded romantic film
NEW YEAR'S EVE in which she will play the role of a New York caterer who runs into an ex-lover played by
Jon Bon Jovi. Although she said she won't take any new jobs since she has a little baby, it seems this short gig won't be too difficult for the gorgeous blond.
I'm not sure if there is some hypnosis technique that certain actors use to make studios give them tones of roles, but we've seen that some people have been getting all the possible jobs in Hollywood recently (
Anne Hathaway, James Franco) and
Javier Bardem is certainly one of them. Not sure why the producers love
him so much, but beside the possible lead role in Stephen King's
DARK TOWER, director
Sam Mendes has just offered Bardem a role in the new
JAMES BOND. He will probably play a villain although nothing is still sure, but I'm almost convinced he won't be a Bond girl. As you know, just like Heigl, Bardem also has fresh new offspring (with Penelope Kruz).
Yep, so very wicked that he's more like a captain villain than a hero :)

Yowza! They love Bardem because he is crazy talented and crazy hot. He's the hottness currently thanks to his Oscar-nominated turn in "Biutiful," although he's been around picking up awards and noms for a while now. I'm looking forward to what he puts out next!

ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of Katherine Heigl so would have rather had Halle Berry. Katherine seems to whine and complain about her projects that give her big bucks and fame. Jon Bon Jovi will be an interesting addition though!

ReplyDeleteHopefully it wold be better than that plastic chain-mail Thor is wearing. (I'll never be able to get over that one. At least Thor will be out of that "uniform" for most of the film.)
Is it just me, or has Katherine Heigl became queen of a rom-coms. It seems like that genre is the only thing she does these last several years.
Anyway, it would be good to see Jon Bon Jovi again. I like him as an actor. (I didn't have anything against him as a musician either.) :)
Of all the things I could say here, I will stick to just one: Katherine Heigl's pic is over photoshopped! Her stomach and legs don't look real. (or maybe that's my jealousy talking...)

ReplyDeleteJavier as a Bond villian would be pretty cool. I was impressed by his performance in No Country For Old Men as the creepy and sadistic Anton Chigurh. Perhaps, he could play a character like Jaws.
