"ENDER'S GAME" SF EPIC. SPIELBERG TO DIRECT "ROBOPOCALYPSE". READY FOR ZOMBIE INVASION IN "THE WALKING DEAD" TV SHOW?

This Halloween will sure be spooky if you decide to spend it watching the premiere of AMC's new zombie TV show "The Walking Dead" which has already caused quite a hype around the Net. The show will be set in the dark, scary and grim time after a zombie apocalypse when a group of survivors tries to find a safe and secure home. The cast includes Andrew Lincoln ("Love Actually"), Jon Bernthal ("The Pacific"), Sarah Wayne Callies ("Prison Break")... and is directed by Frank Darabont.

Director Gavin Hood ("Wolverine") might helm the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sf epic "Ender's Game" set in a world in which humans face a serious threat from an alien race known as the Formics and begin training elite military units in response. Against this backdrop comes Andrew Wiggin, also known as Ender, who becomes a top-flight soldier and helps to save Earth by fighting simulations that turn out to be real.

It seems all the producers and agents in Hollywood want to take part in "Robopocalypse" after Steven Spielberg has shown interest in directing this movie himself. This lavish sf epic would explores the fate of the human race after the world was hit by a robot uprising.

Although they have already started filming, "X-Men: First Class" is still adding new actors to portray its gallery of mutants. Young Spanish actor Alex Gonzalez has been added to the cast as Janos Quested a.k.a Riptide, a mutant with the ability to spin his body at an incredibly fast rate while shooting shurikens and spikes all around. He joins the cast which already includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Caleb Landry Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Jason Flemyng....

  1. A zombie TV series? Sure, why not?
    I'm not a big fan of Card, but maybe the movie will be better.
    And any more actor additions to X-Men and the cast might explode!

  7. Riptide?

    RIPTIDE?

    A character that was on all of...what...three pages?

    My only hope is that they're doing some Mutant Massacre thing...but that would impossible without Wolverine and Sabretooth.

    Riptide.

  9. ooooo! A zombie TV series. Might be good, but it might also get old after awhile.
    Robopocalypse sounds like something that's been done before but might be good if it's done in a new way--Spielberg could do it.

  11. Interesting. The more I hear about X-Men first class, the more I stay exactly where I am. Not excited for this flick in the least. Ender's Game sounds like it could make a good film though. Hopefully they don't screw it up.

    I'm not that into zombies either but somehow when you start watching a zombie movie you just get intrigued and your survival instincts wake up :)

    @Arlee
    hope those zombies won't strike California :)

    @Andrew
    what it is with people over in America not having TVs? I keep hearing that often lately.

    @Bryan
    yes, that's the reaction more and more people, including me, are having about FIRST CLASS. Too many unknown actors, bad costumes (As we've seen on January Jones)....

  14. DEZMOND - Hi. I'll give the zombie show a whirl. Sure. And I don't know how I feel about another X-men character. But the actor is quite handsome. =D

  15. My goodness, X-Men: First Class should just be called Hunky Men: First Class. I mean we've already got Fassbender, McAvoy, Hoult, and this Gonzalez guy sure is eye candy material! :D

  16. @Shells
    he is rather dashing :)

    @Flixy
    and on the other side just overly thin January Jones for the male audience :(

  17. I can't believe it's taken them this long to turn Ender's Game into a film! I hope they do a good job casting the kid. I remeber OSC saying he thought the kid from Phantom Menace might make a good Ender! :O
