JOSH HOLLOWAY IN TALKS WITH MARVEL TO JOIN "THE AVENGERS"?

Oh, here's another super-hero news. According to latest rumors circling around the Net, "Lost" star Josh Holloway is negotiating with Marvel to take a lead role in an upcoming film about one of Marvel's characters. Some websites are speculating that he might get a role of Ant-man or Hawkeye, since both of those characters appear in the announced superhero film "The Avengers", while Ant-Men also has it's own spin-off announced. "The Avengers", which is supposed to bring the Marvel team of super heroes together in the same movie is scheduled for 2012 and will be directed by Josh Whedon with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Samuel L. Jackson in the cast. They also have to find someone to play Hulk. Josh Holloway could also appear among them if these rumors are true.

  1. So Edward Norton won't reprise his role as the Hulk?

the cast are the actors who are playing those super heroes in separate movies as well.

  4. He looks like a great candidate for Hawkeye. Not sure if Josh can pull off the role of a biochemist like Ant Man! I would be curious why they might pick someone other than Ed Norton. Unless he has a problem with making a butt-load of money.

  5. There is some catch with the Edward Norton story, but I can't remember what it is. When it comes to Josh, most people say he's very versatile and could probably do any super-hero role :)

  6. Ugh.. they are going to find ANOTHER Hulk? Ed Norton should do it methinks.

And I'd watch Josh Holloway in anything... bring it on!

  7. I like Josh, and I think he would make great Hawkeye. Maybe even someone other than Hawkeye. I believe Josh Whedon is a good choice for director, but I'm also interested in a script. The Avengers are not my favorite superhero team ( especially in that cast), but I'm still very interested in this movie.

  8. yep, it could be a bit boring watching all those actors in all those roles we are already used seeing them in. But I would also give Josh Holloway a chance :)
