MICHELLE WILLIAMS AS MARYLIN MONROE IN "MY WEEK WITH MARYLIN"

After her stunning performance in "Brokeback Mountain", I've been wondering when would Michelle Williams get some big role. Although I'm not sure this is it, it still sounds like a step forward: she will star in a biopic about the life of Marilyn Monroe. Entitled "My Week With Marilyn" it will be produced by The Weinstein Co. and directed by Simon Curtis (director of charming British TV series "Cranford" and "David Copperfield"). This film will describe the time Marylin Monroe spent in London when she was filming "The Prince and the Showgirl" with Laurence Olivier. According to rumors Ralph Fiennes was set to play Olivier before he stepped out in order to direct "Coriolanus" in Serbia. "My Week With Marilyn" is scheduled to start shooting this Autumn.

  1. This could be interesting. I've read Olivier's take on this experience in his autobiography.

  3. I've not always been a big fan of Marilyn Monroe, but I'd be interested to see a documentary that really gets into her personal life. She's such a complex figure behind the camera. Michelle Williams may be able to pull it off, but I'm not too sure she has the look

  4. Marilyn Monroe was so very beautiful. I like curves on a woman, this thing with skinny bones like Paris Hilton just doesn't do it for me.

  5. She has the face for it, Uni, and I guess she could work on her body to make it more similar. But unlike inexpressive and cold Naomi Watts who will also portray Marylin in another movie, at least Michelle knows how to act and has a lot of talent.

    Avalon, we all like curves :)

  7. I will watch another one with Naomi Watts in it. And Dezmy for this time I completely disagree with your. Naomi is a great and better one actress for me, she has proven her wonderful acting and emotion in "King Kong". And the one who inexpressive and cold is Michelle Williams.

  9. Surely Scarlett J is the one to call if you're planning a Marilyn movie? Or is her price tag too high?

  10. @Alex
    you're missing a great story and marvelous acting in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN :)

    @Jaccsy
    ugh ... I just wanted to compare the acting of Naomi and the acting of King Kong .... but I must hold my tongue since I wouldn't wanna hurt my dear AnswerMVP2001. I've just remembered he adores Naomi ......

    @Answer
    oh, I'm a constant disappointment to you .... :(((

    @Matty
    I think Scarlett doesn't really have high prices, since none of her movies were profitable (not counting IRON MAN2).
