Aceshowbiz": the star of the upcoming movie "
Beastly", young
Vanessa Hudgens might be wearing the
Spider-Woman costume in the future. She is apparently in talks with filmmakers to star in a film which will focus on the super heroine who first appeared in
Marvel Comics in 1944.
They plan to make a fun, comedic movie in which
Spider-Woman is strong and sexy but also funny and according to rumors Vanessa is very interested in the whole idea. So, what do you think about this? The same scary news as
Taylor Swift possibly playing
Supergirl?!?
I've never seen her in anything so can't offer an opinion.

ReplyDeleteI don't think this character is that old (1944). More like 70s creation if I remember corectly. Although I could be wrong, since Spider Woman is not one of my favorite characters.
ReplyDeleteMarvel has really been "pushing" this character in the last couple of years. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a film about her soon.
Vanessa Hudgens couldn't play Spider Woman as she is in comics nowadays (or ever). But I see they plan to tweak the character and lighten the mood of this (possible) film.
If that is the case, then Vanessa may fit this role.
The only problem being that Vanessa, although cute, isn't a vamp women, but if they make it light and fun, I guess it could work, but it won't be a crowd pleasing project then.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm more surprised to hear Taylor Swift plans to continue the acting bit... Supergirl? I mean, I think Taylor is as sweet as pie and I'm very happy for her surprising success, but she's very awkward and uncoordinated looking onstage... :::scrunches eyebrows in confusion:::
