will have another of her books made into a movie: Andy Fickman has signed on to direct her "The Undomestic Goddess" for Universal Pictures.Adapted by Aline Brosh McKenna ("The Devil Wears Prada"), Kinsella's book centers on a workaholic female attorney who, believing she wrecked her chances of being named partner at her London firm, has a meltdown and ends up in the English countryside. After stopping at a large house to ask directions, she is mistaken as a candidate for a maid position and takes a housekeeping job.
Hope some nice actress will get cast for the main role.
I've read this book and it made me literally laugh out loud. Please, please, may the producers keep it in England and not transfer it to Connecticut.

ReplyDeleteI haven't read this book, but I was pleased with the adaptation of Confessions of a Shopaholic by the same author. The book was fun, but I loved the changes they made for the movie.

ReplyDeleteIf you enjoy the other books in Kinsella's series, this will not disappoint. Cute premise. Very light and easy reading. Love the touches of British lingo and humor.
