Based on the classic novel of the same name, "The Eagle of the Ninth" is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain. In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth.
So, is this set to show before, or after The Centurion?

ReplyDeleteHowever Dez, I've also heard that "Eagle of the Ninth" was never scheduled for September 2009 as it started filming in early August 2009 in Hungary then moved to Scotland. Channing Tatum and the rest of the crew was also still in Scotland in October 2009 as Channing Tatum Unwrapped Website confirms. So, it couldn't have been released in September 2009.

You didn't read my post well, Jaccsy, I never mentioned September 09 but September 2010. The film will be released this Autumn. Both THE EAGLE and CENTURION were in production during 2009 so nobody expected for them to be released last year, but this year :)
ReplyDeleteAs you remember HOLLYWOOD SPY followed the shooting of the EAGLE in Hungary last year, since my headquarters are situated just 10 kilometers from Hungarian border :))
