BESTSELLING SAGA "TUNNELS" TO HIT THE BIG SCREEN

Vincenzo Natali the director of the bizarre sf movie "Splice" has been hired to direct Tunnels" the film adaptation of the first installment of the New York Times best-selling "children's series by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams.
Achieving sales of more than a million copies and published in more than forty countries worldwide, "Tunnels" tells the story of Will, a 14-year-old boy driven by a fascination of the buried past, who is drawn into a subterranean world after his archaeologist father abruptly goes missing. This hidden civilization, beautiful and unforgiving, is dominated by a sinister, vicious race called the Styx, who have presided over generations of enslaved colonists.
The producers say the movie will represent the next level in family entertainment, combining a science-based reality reminiscent of the classic fiction of Verne and Wells, but in a completely contemporary setting.

  1. Great news, I like the book and hope Natali will make a great big screen adaptation of it since "Splice" is also looks like a unique cinematic experience.

  2. What will they think of next? At least this isn't a remake of an 80s movie. Does sound interesting. I haven't read the book, think I'll just wait for the movie.

  5. Sounds interesting, but these kind of adventure/fairytale adaptations didn't have any luck in the past few years.
Almost none of them got a second film. (Even though they were planned more more then a single movie.)

  6. it's true, that's why the should make this movie as if it won't have any sequels, and not leave it unfinished at the end.
