"PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTNING THIEF" EXCLUSIVE CHARACTER POSTERS

"Percy Jackson and the Olympians: the Lightning Thief" is out February 12th, and we have the latest character posters promoting the upcoming fantasy adventure.
Starring Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Uma Thurman, Kevin McKidd and young Logan Lerman the movie is set in the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson's Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they're not happy: Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Even more troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy's mother. As Percy adapts to his newly discovered status as a demi-god (his father is Poseidon), he finds himself caught between the battling titans of Mt. Olympus. He and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy's mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

  1. I've yet to be convinced by the commercials or anything else that this isn't a cheap attempt by Chris Columbus to re-ignite his post-Harry Potter appeal after struggling to escape last decade with horrendous I Love You, Beth Cooper. Though I may still check it out, as I am a (and have always been) a sucker for a good fantasy film.

  2. I like the newest dark, epic design posters better than those six awful character posters.
I can see this doing well at the box office. With Harry Potter coming to an end, they just need something to look forward too.

  3. Jaccsy I agree with you that these character posters look extremely cheap, that was my immediate impression as well. We all had certain doubts about this movie, and these posters didn't help at all. But the above posters with just Logan Lerman are quite beautiful.

Ryan, you are a sucker for fantasy movies???? I'm kind of puzzled but this. You don't strike me as someone who would go for magic and fantasy.

  4. I'm looking forward to this. It looks much more exciting than Harry Potter, but that doesn't mean it's better (or worse).
