REBECCA ROMIJN ON "X-MEN: MYSTIQUE" MOVIE

"Beyond Hollywood" has published a cool story on gorgeous Rebecca Romijn and her character Mystique from "X-Men". Since almost every other hero from the franchise is getting a movie, and there seem to be many spin-offs with Wolverine, Magneto and Deadpool, why not give that sexy blue-skinned villain a movie about her super-hero origins.
Rebecca Romijn who recently gave birth to twins, and is currently enjoying a success with the fresh new show "Eastwick" says the following:"If they talk to me in a year when I have worked off more of the baby weight, we’ll see, but I’ve still got a couple of pounds to go. It’s a great idea but no one’s talked to me about it yet."

  1. I'd see it, or at least rent it.

  2. Intresting - i feel like her character is actually pretty interesting, especially in the second x-men film -- not to mention her mutation is pretty incredible!

  3. I think they could just bring her origin story into a Magneto film.

  4. I would really like to see this movie. Too bad I'm not that optimistic about its realisation. At least not with Rebecca Romijn in that role.

Female comic book heroines are just not as marketable as their male counterparts. Not in comics, and not in video.
We should wait and see if some (any) of the coming movies featuring such heroines will succeed (financially). In a near future we have (possibly) Magdalena, Fathom, Red Sonja, and maybe even Witchblade.

  5. Yes, although we all find gorgeous Mystique more than interesting, I guess this movie will never actually happen, but it's nice to dream :)) especially with lovely and talented Rebecca Romijn in your head.

  6. Well I doubt her new show will last very long so I think this might have a higher possibility of happening.

  7. Many questions need to be answered about Mystique. When did she discover her powers? Why did she decide to stay with her blue form? How did she meet Magneto and why did they share such a close bond. It would be a great movie.
