  1. This looks very interesting. I mean, premise is interesting. The rest I would have to see to assess.

And I think I know how you Dez (and the rest of us) haven't heard about this until now.
It seems that this series is almost unknown outside of Great Britain. You would have to search really hard to find its episodes on torrent sites.
I guess the recent popularity of British TV series Merlin made me forget how "unknown" most of these British series are in USA, and consequently, the rest of the worldwide "internet" population.

  2. Actually it wasn't that hard to find it on torrents. I've seen three episodes so far, and I've become a fan. The show has a very nice, unimposing atmosphere which is rather refreshing.
And the cast is really cool making it much easier for you to relate with their characters.
The music is based on popular hits, so the pilot episode had SNOW PATROL's "CHASING CARS", PULP's "DISCO 2000", and many other popular songs.

The reason why I haven't heard about it before is the fact that they've broadcast it over on BBC3, and I must admit I didn't even know BBC had a third channel :))))

BBC has its own channel in America, and plus it sells its programmes to American stations, so I wouldn't quite say that their shows are not known in the USA, especially not around the world, because a lot of British shows are popular in Australia, Canada, Africa, New Zealand, India ... I know that Americans watch ROBIN HOOD, DR WHO, MERLIN, LITTLE BRITAIN, CATHERINE TATE SHOW, FOOTBALLERS' WIVES ....
