FIRST RAY GUNN
TRAILER FOR NETFLIX ANIMATED MOVIE
Netflix has released a trailer for their animated movie RAY GUNN from director Brad Bird who previously did The Incredibles franchise.
The film is a blend of sci-fi and classic detective movies from the ’40s and has the story set in Metropia, a gigantic city in an alternate future as seen from 1939, where our lead character private eye Raymond Gunn is drawn into a case involving aliens, murder, and a multimedia star named Venus Nova. Coming from Skydance Animation the film will stream from December 18th but will have a December 8th limited cinema release as well. Sam Rockwell lends his voice to the titular character, with Scarlett Johansson as Venus Nova and Tom Waits also in the voice cast. See the trailer below and tell us what you think.

DeleteA Brad Bird noir detective story set in an alternate 1939 sounds like a genuinely fun combination, and Sam Rockwell as the lead is a great fit for that kind of pulpy charm. Scarlett Johansson voicing Venus Nova is an interesting pairing too, Dezmond — the trailer alone has me curious how this blends sci-fi with classic detective tropes.

It is interesting that Netflix has decided to apply the song that Scarlet sings in the film for the Oscars in the best song category.

DeleteUmmm, tiene buena pinta, pero yo soy incapaz a estas alturas de ver animación. No tengo ni idea pero es que no me detengo en ello, solo las que veo con mis nietos, pero me ha parecido acertado que la traigas. Un fuerte abrazo, hoy en español no. me dio tiempo a corregir la traducción,pero bueno ya sabes que los españoles somos muy efusivos, asi que será fuerte de verdad.
