After the first images from new epic adventure series TREASURE ISLAND which will sail onto MGM+ on October 11th and then to Paramount + for viewers in Europe the next day, we now have a trailer as well which you can check out below the post. The six part small screen adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic seafaring tale has a rather, I must admit, boring cast which includes Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins, always wooden David Oyelowo as Long John Silver, Tom Sweet as Jim Hawkins, Jack
Huston as Aaron Graham, and Tomer Capone as Billy Bones.

WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE NEW TV SERIES?
When young Jim Hawkins and his fiercely determined mother Bess come into possession of Captain Flint’s legendary treasure map, they are swept into a brutal race for unimaginable riches. A pirate treasure hunt with shifting loyalties and deadly secrets sounds like a great premise for a series, and six episodes feels like just the right length to keep the tension up without dragging it out.
