JOE WRIGHT TO DIRECT SF JUICEMeanwhile, Joe Wright has been set to direct the movie adaptation of sf post apocalyptic thriller JUICE by Tim Winton set in a fractured and ravaged world following a climate-change disaster. A young husband and father is recruited into a top-secret resistance organization, joining the ranks of militia men tasked with targeting the isolated and wealthy culprits responsible for this global catastrophe. When a mission goes wrong, he finds himself on the run, having to fight to the end to survive in this hostile world.
Both ain't for me, but my husband might be interested in Juice. We are going to rewatch an old movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest this evening.
ReplyDeleteI have never watched that one, never liked Jack Nicholson much.
DeleteAs we were saying in the previous post, adaptations are always tricky. In my case, when I hear about a film version before reading the book, it sometimes takes away part of my desire to read it, because the story no longer reaches me completely free of other images. Still, there are always exceptions, and sometimes taking that step has been a pleasant surprise. I found another hug; this one is heavier.
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes when a film is very good and you fall in love with the characters, you wish to read the books as well. Returning the hug with a chain attached so you can tie it around your neck LOL
DeleteI've been to several weddings (my brother has been married 5 times lol) and I've never seen anyone getting together and start dating. But it's a good premise.
ReplyDeleteMaybe ya did not have hot hunks at those weddings LOL
DeleteHello, Dezmond! I will never watch gay films. And a devastated and ruined world will soon be ours if the world is ruled by people like von der Leyen, Callas, Merz, Macron, and various British prime ministers.
ReplyDeleteI am very sad to hear it, dear Irina. In all honesty there is not much difference between racism and homophobia as it means you think you are better than other people and above them and that they do not deserve the same thing you have. Why would gay people be deprived of life and love that you have? You do know a gay person can be a doctor that can save your life, a fireman that can save your house, a chemist that invests a cure for cancer. We must treat people for person that they are and love that they give not colour of skin, nationality or sexual orientation. Gay is beautiful just as straight is.
DeleteGracias por la reseña. Te mando un beso y te deseo un lindo fin de semana.
ReplyDeleteGracias, wishing the same to you.
DeleteI don't think there are hunks at any of the weddings I've ever been to either. Never once saw anyone hook up or start dating at them either. It is fun to think that it could happen though.
ReplyDeleteI have seen that plot in many a porn movie LOOOL
